Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 356 – 12/7/2021

today is the 80th anniversary of pearl harbor and i intend on attending to bearing witness to peace and pachamama, the living earth…

WE ARE EARTH.
JUST LIKE EARTH, OUR BODIES ARE 70% WATER,
WITH THE SAME PROPORTION OF SALT AS THE OCEANS.
OUR BONES ARE MADE STRONG BY LIMESTONE
THAT COMES FROM PREHISTORIC SHELLFISH.
EVERY ATOM OF OUR BODY
HAS BEEN A ROCK OR A BUTTERFLY OR A DAISY OR A LION.
WHAT WE CALL MOUNTAIN, AIR, AND OCEAN
ARE THE BONES, THE BREATH, AND THE BLOOD
OF OUR MOST ANCIENT ANCESTORS
AND OUR FUTURE DESCENDANTS.
WE BELONG TO EARTH.

we come together today from across the planet, our island home for a twemty-four hour vigil to bear witness and take action for our earthmother, our one body, our home…

may we open to the complexity and mystery of our relationship to Earth and develop our humanity so that we can hold more of the whole and respond to life from that wholeness by connecting with the truth that we are one body…

our earth mother’s heartbeat echoes through all our relations… feel the momentum building as more and more of us hear her call to rise up and stand together as one large orchestra playing a seamless symphony and re-joy-sing in the harmony we embody as a beautiful wave now encircling the cosmos – peace prevails on earth, love is all there is… peace prevails on earth, love is all there is… peace prevails on earth, love is all there is… peace prevails on earth, love is all there is…

join with me now in breathing deeply in to the womb of being while placing a hand on your heart and with each deep breath, feel your heart, our one heart, opening a little wider re-membering we all belong to each other, each of our individual destinies is tied with our one collective destiny… to journey to the core of our being, to our heart of gold to be our original face of radiant love, dancing with rainbow mystery…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 342 – 11/23/2021

there is so much to celebrate in this moment of eternity, this moment of the astonishing light of our interbeing…

the state of aloha is still alive today following yesterday’s celebration as many across the planet come to honor Masahisa Goi with Global Peace Pole Day on what would be his 105th birthday… he was a young man when his country’s cities of Hiroshima Nagasaki were bombed and he devoted the rest of his life to peace prevailing on earth beginning a grassroots movement involving people from 193 countries who have planted over 250,000 needles or peace poles in the earth over the last fifty years to ground and root this lasting peace in the stillpoint of creation…

may we take this moment to generate and re-generate waves of brilliant light…

Oh Great Spirit who dwells in the sky,
lead us to the path of peace and understanding,
let all of us live together as brothers and sisters.
Our lives are so short here, walking upon Mother Earth’s surface,
let our eyes be opened to all the blessings you have given us.
Thank you for hear our prayers, Oh Great Spirit…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 329 – 11/10/2021

on the eve of 11-11 at 11:11, i begin calling in armistice… exactly at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 103 years ago, people across Europe suddenly stopped shooting guns at each other… up until that moment, they were killing and taking bullets, falling and screaming, moaning and dying… then they stopped, on schedule… the armistice agreement that ended World War I had set 11 o’clock as quitting time… Armistice Day was created to celebrate the ending of World War I and to work for the ending of all war…

the next year, King George asked for two minutes of silence for all people to reflect on and re-member the cost of war and the benefits of a lasting peace… in this moment, let us observe two minutes of silence while we contemplate the words of  an American President, Abraham Lincoln almost a half a century earlier when the United States was dangerously divided…

“I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.”

in every moment, may we all tune into a greater wisdom… the peace passing all understanding…

“The weary world is waiting for
Peace forevermore
So take away the gun
From every mother’s son
And put an end to war.”

~ Al Jolson ~

join with me on the 11th at 11 to chime bells 11 times commemorating the 103rd anniversary of WWI’s end following that with a wave of three minutes of silence dedicated to all who died and to all who lived… and then, may we rise up singing and dancing peace prevailing on earth…

and, on that note, i re-member it was 5 years ago Leonard Cohen moved on to another plane; with his death and as a celebration of his life, here is my favorite rendition of his praise song, hallelujah… godspeed, jikan… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYiMJ2bC65A

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 234 – 8/7/2021

seventy-six years ago, the beautiful child in this image, Sadako, was 2 years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on her city of Hiroshima during the second world war… nine years later, she developed the atomic bomb disease, leukemia… hearing the ancient Japanese story that says when you fold 1000 paper cranes your wish will be granted, Sadako was able to fold 644 cranes with her wish for healing before she died at twelve years old from atomic radiation…

inspired by her courage and strength, her friends and classmates dreamed of creating a monument to memorialize their friend and all children killed by the bomb. young people all over the land of the rising sun real-eyesed their dream a couple of years later when in 1958 a statue of Sadako holding a golden crane was unveiled in the Hiroshima Peace Park. The children also made a wish. It is inscribed at the bottom of the statue and reads:

“This is our cry, This is our prayer, Peace in the world.”

today, people all over the world continue to fold paper cranes and send them to Sadako’s monument in Hiroshima…

may we all take up their cry and prayer of peace in the world… may there be peace on earth and may it begin with me and thee…

let’s close our sacred ceremony for today with the Essene Communion for Sunday dedicating ourselves to living in the unity of our interbeing…

THE DEEPENING: Spend time outside. Hold in your hands a stone and explore it intently. Know that the Earth and all that dwells therein is but a reflection of the Heavenly Father.

MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of EARTH I invoke thee; for the Lord hath created this world to be a garden, where the magic of herbs and the secrets of plants nourish and heal the bodies of men. And as I regenerate my body, I regenerate my soul, and as each morning comes, I shall embrace thee.

MEDITATION: I feel my body become one with the earth. From the richness of the soil springs the fruits that you share…… and I am the rock. My center belongs to that which was kindled long ago. Bring that consciousness back to me now.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with the EARTHLY MOTHER:
Blessed is the Child of Light who knoweth the Earthly Mother and brings peace unto her. Know that thy Mother is in thee and thou art in her, for she is the giver of life.

EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of CREATIVE WORK I invoke thee; for he who walks with the Angel of work has within him a field always fertile, where healing herbs and beautiful flowers blossom and grow. The mind that is idle is full of the weeds of discontentment, but he who has found his task shall not be in want of other blessings. And as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee.

THE BLESSING: The table in my house is full and I have much to share. I gather in the fruits of my labors. I work with the talents I have. In the labor of right livelihood, I find the greatest joys of life, and my cupboard overflows with its blessings.

To lift your eyes to heaven when all men’s eyes are on the ground, is not easy. To worship at the feet of the angels when all men worship only fame and riches, is not easy. But the most difficult of all is to think the thoughts of the angels, to speak the words of the angels, and to do as the angels do.
~Gospel of the Essenes

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 159 – 5/24/2021

yes, on this most auspicious day – it’s International Women’s Day for Peace and Disarmament, a day established in the early ’80s by pacifist feminists to raise up the cost of weapons and war to the planet, a day as relevant as ever as we sit at 100 seconds on the doomsday clock, let us breathe together and feel peace prevails on earth…

i’ve wanted to post this for awhile and with today being International Women’s Day for Peace and Disarmament, in the melodious month of may, it is the perfect moment of eternity to share this annual event…

“travel” with me now to the land of the rising sun with Mt Fuji as our background to join in this annual global event begun in 2005, a symphony of peace prayers when humans from all cultures and faiths are welcomed to pray for/intend peace in the world…

the Symphony of Peace Prayers builds upon our diversity to create a sense of oneness. Through our collaboration, and by bringing our hearts together, we are building a peaceful world.
~ Masami Saionji, Fuji Sanctuary, 2012 ~

following the offerings of prayers for peace on earth, there’s an amazing ceremony with each of the 194 flags of the countries on earth brought forward so we can all chant together peace in _ saying peace in the country’s native language…

it is so beautiful, encouraging, heartening and inspiring to be awash in this symphony of peace…

here is the vision for a world of peace:

“As individuals responsible for the future of life on Earth, We affirm the divine spark in the heart and mind of every human being and intend to live by its light in every sphere of our existence. We commit ourselves to fulfilling our shared mission of creating lasting peace on Earth through our ways of living and acting. We intend to live and act so as to enhance the quality of life and the well-being of all forms of life on the planet, recognizing that all living things in all their diversity are interconnected and are one. We will continually strive to free the human spirit for deep creativity, and to nurture the transformation necessary to forge a new paradigm in all spheres of human activity, including economics, science, medicine, politics, business, education, religion, the arts, communications and the media. We shall make it our mission to design, communicate and implement a more spiritual and harmonious civilization—a civilization that enables humankind to realize its inherent potential and advance to the next stage of its material, spiritual, and cultural evolution.”

  ~ The Fuji Declaration ~

building a peaceful world begins with each and every one of us… we are being called upon in this extraordinary moment to transcend our differences in all isms: faith, creed, ethnicity, nationality, and background and come together with an elevated and deepened consciousness to forge a new/old path of light going forward…

peace prevails on earth…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 118 – 4/13/2021

“Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.”
~ John  Kennedy ~

on this day, may we come together standing in love for love to invoke peace…

Peace to all beings
Whether near or far
Known or unknown
Real or imaginary
Visible or invisible
Born or yet to be born.
May all beings
Be well and happy
And filled with lovingkindness
Peace to all beings

Within and beyond the imagination
In the world of ideas
In the world of memories
And in the world of dreams.
May all beings
Be well and happy
And filled with lovingkindness

Peace in all elements
Of earth, air, fire and water
Fulfilled in space, time and consciousness
Peace

Peace in all universes
From the smallest cells in our bodies
To the greatest galaxies in space
Peace
And light rising

Peace to all beings
Within each being here
To those beings that have been in the past
And to those beings that are yet to be in the future
May all beings
Within each being here
Be well and happy
And filled with lovingkindness…

may we listen deeply for gaia’s call connecting with the wisdom of the ancestors on whose shoulders we stand  celebrating those who have stewarded earth mother for ten thousand years…

“If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work.”

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 342 – 11/22/2020

there is so much to celebrate in this moment of eternity, this moment of the astonishing light of being… this day of 11-22 is forever engraved on me as the day JFK was shot and my 12 year old self’s dreams for peace were shaken as his words live on…

“What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children–not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women–not merely peace in our time but peace for all time.”

for the past few days when i think of 11-22, it’s not 1963 that’s coming in but 2018 which was such a wandering in wonder when our little pod was transported to the big islandto be with the dolphins; this memory makes sense since we’ve added a baby one to our pod here…

from two years ago which mirrors today… as we land in the state of aloha at 1:11, i am feeling such peace and love and joy that amplifies with every breath as we cruise down route 11 hugging the sunny coast and bright blue sea making our way toward the stillpoint of creation…

the state of aloha is one of consciousness today as many accrois the planet come to honor Masahisa Goi with Global Peace Pole Day on what would be his 104th birthday… he was a young man when his countries cities of Hiroshima Nagasaki were bombed and he devoted the rest of his life to peace prevailing on earth beginning a grassroots movement involving people from 193 countries who have planted over 250,000 needles or peace poles in the earth over the last fifty years to ground and root this lasting peace in the stillpoint of creation…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 277 – 9/19/2019

Named Soaring 19 2019 PEACE Flight

every outbreath, an emptying… every inbreath, a re-membering…
~

ah, a day of winging it across the vast skysea and being a celestial chanting instrument of peace for every moment is pregnant with the promise of peace, our attention and intention manifest it with every breath our consciously saying/feeling… i am peace, we are all peace with every breath… join me now in invoking a peace meditation…

~

We call all noble-hearted people to find within the light of love and divinity that dwells in them from immemorial times, since their souls have existed.
May this light … expand on the earth showering her face with peace and harmony.
May this light … calm and harmonize the black shadow of war, violence, hate and disharmony .
May this light … fill the hearts of all people and the sites of nations where the shadow of violence has found a place to stay.

May this light reach the hearts and minds of ALL the Heads of State,
of ALL leaders of the revolution from  right to left from north to south.

We extend our profound gratitude to all the Mamos (Shamans) of the world, all men, women and children from  different cultures, races and creeds, from all cardinal directions who have joined us and those who will join us in this effort to raise a prayer for peace and nonviolence .

We wash away the cries of the distressed, the blood of the victims of violence, the pain of their families.

May they be replaced by the innocent laughter of children, the ideals of youth and the wisdom of life of our elders.
May we no longer know the signs of strife: to hear birds singing sorrows, nor watch clouds stained with blood, nor feel breezes intense with heat, nor see rivers swollen by the mountains’ tears .
May new fraternal bonds of unity and peace formed through our invocation together  embrace humanity in harmony with itself and with nature.
