Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 244 – 8/17/2015

Named Amazing August 17 Kaua'i 11-28-14 019 Rainbowyesterday i felt abandon, not the wild freeing abandon, but the scorned lover variety, until the sun, in the form of holy grandmother spider creatrix, peeked through the clouds offering warm embraces and whispered words of wisdom to be still in this moment of abandon, to trust this moment of surrender, to re-member the sun always shines and when it shines on rain, being is transformed into iridescent rainbow encircling the cosmos within and without converging in perfect harmony, in this moment, this beautiful moment of grace…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 86 – 3/12/2015

Named Miraculous March 12 flowgofor days as i walk with grandmother to the river below the river, every place i try to cross is blocked… today, i re-member the impeded stream sings and so i venture to the stillpoint to listen… and i see the great mother dancing creation weaving a new web of life, carbon turned into crystals of light, a thousand dancing diamonds twinkling in the night, imbuing the all with powerful sight of the world being breathed into life again, unfolding mystery of the knowledge within… listening deeply to our one heart, sharing the love we are called to impart…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 80 – 3/6/2015

Named Miraculous March 6 Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage Selma Aloha

Knowing that not one of us is free until all of us are free, the world celebrates the 50 Year Anniversary of the historic freedom march, Selma to Montgomery, which directly led to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 in the United States. The Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage bows deeply to and is greatly inspired by the countless peace pilgrims who courageously bear witness, who walk the talk of being love, peace, justice and harmony no matter the personal cost.

I love Aloha spirit being infused into the ethers of this pilgrimage. The journey of the iconic flower garlands began a year earlier when Dr King had lectured at the University of Hawaii and met the Reverend Abraham Akaka. To show support for civil rights, the Reverend Akaka sent the spirit of compassion and love embedded in the lei to the marchers in Alabama instilling an image of a bridge of unity across the planet.

Tomorrow, Hawaiian-born, President Barack Obama will march wearing a lei from his native state and carry all who love freedom on this sacred journey of peace.

Mahalo!

magical miraculous moment as we dance along the rainbow trail with rain softly kissing our faces and sun warmly embracing our bodies… out of the mists from the depths of the canyon, an echo of harmony resounds and colors the sky… we re-member we are boundless like the arc encircling pachamama and beautiful like the unchained melody of our multiverse…

a perfect moment in the rainbow state with hearts wide open to what is as the wind whispers bestowing blessings for all as we walk the sacred path of oneness…

Named Trees 15 Heart Tree++

in the midst of chaos, primordial space, there is stillness, sacred space where my soul longs to be… inspired while swimming in the sea with my beloved pod, i journey down, down, down into the watery womb where i spend much of the day floating between the worlds and tuning into the cosmic hum of harmony… what a lovely pilgrimage this choosing to walk through the gate into silence, this breathing through our one heart, this singing in harmony, this being one at the stillpoint in a sea of dancing stars… yes, just what the tree curanderas ordered to restore fraying wires… mahalo!

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Day 216 – July 20, 2014

Named Mikagura Oregon Japanese Garden Tanabata Festival July 2014 018

Last night, on the eve of beginning a week long celebration of the Turn Around the Sun Re-Creation ManiFestival, Portalandia and i  enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the ancient Shinto ritual of Mikagura Sacred Dance. Involving an imaginative journey across time and space, we are transported to the pond in the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura, Japan where the spirit of kami is enshrined. For some 2000 years, this sacred dance has been performed to please the kami, last night was the first performance in the continental United States.

Beginning with the lighting of the bonfire, we are purified with a branch of Sakaki or evergreen followed with chanting by the priests to invite the kami and more chanting offering hospitality to the kami and ending with chanting to send the kami back to their origin.

Mikagura transports us into a space in harmony with the heavenly bodies, truly, a dancing with the stars….

May we all revere the spirit in nature and live in peace…
