an auspicious day (2/22) for the most special day of the great prayer festival, the first full moon in the tibetan new year, the day of miracles when Buddha performed one after another blessing the cosmos with overflowing illumination… hundreds of years later, pilgrims still gather together to celebrate the cosmic flow of miracles…

living on a tiny blue dot

circling round a ball of fire

next to a moon that moves the sea

in a cosmos overflowing with miracles, blessed be!

on this day of celebrating miracles of illumination, we devote ourselves to praying for peace… here’s one of my favorites… would love for you to share yours…

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
