on this day of the potent portal of samhain, i re-member a year ago on this day hearing a bell, answering the call and learning my mother had taken her final breath and i am called into another day of silence…

yesterday, on Armistice, when we celebrated the peace  of the ending of a war that was to end all wars with bells ringing and silence and dedication to perpetuating peace, goodwill and mutual understanding, a friend suggested we continue the observing of the 11th hour with bell ringing which sounds like a beautiful idea to me and goes right along with the call into silence today honoring mother and this moment of eternity calling us all into the womb of creation…
