thousandfold thanks for all the weird relatives, creative rebels, imaginal cells of real-eye-sing… those astonishing lights of being who rekindle our flame by setting their lives on fire and fanning the flames of all relatives in the openhearted field…

– Beatitudes for the Weird –
by Jacob NordbyBlessed are the weird people
—poets, misfits, writers, mystics
heretics, painters & troubadours—
for they teach us to see the world through different eyesBlessed are those who embrace the intensity of life’s pain and pleasure,
for they shall be rewarded with uncommon ecstasy.Blessed are ye who see beauty in ugliness,
for you shall transform our vision of how the world might be.Blessed are the bold and whimsical,
for their imagination shatters ancient boundaries of fear for us all.Blessed are ye who are mocked for unbridled expression of love in all its forms, because your kind of crazy is exactly that freedom for which the world is unconsciously begging.
Blessed are those who have endured breaking by life,
for they are the resplendent cracks through which the light shines.from Blessed Are the Weird – A Manifesto for Creatives

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 307 – 10/19/2019
“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.”
― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophetdid you awaken as i did in this heart space to this moment re-membering the universe in each moment is making us an irresistible offer? thousandfold thanks, Desiree, and everyone for conspiring to gift with so many moments of savoring this potent space between us of initiating the cosmic wedding and weaving the threads of eternal presence into the lush field of the divine matrix… an infinite moment after moment, truly, of love after love…
Love After Love
The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other’s welcome, and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved youall your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf, the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.Derek Walcott

today, we cross the bridge to meet in a field on the north side of the river serving as seeders of the divine matrix, Einstein’s unified field.. in making this pilgrimage, i feel as if i have walked thousands of miles from one country to another connected only by a bridge, a bridge connecting everything, a bridge demonstrating we are one unified, radiant field of love…
yesterday, we were called to die to everything, today we are called to breathe life, to breathe love into everything with every thought word and deed…
may we be open, organically present in the emptiness of now, in this moment, in every moment, to what is as the love we are…
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 305 – 10/17/2019
today, as the sun shines on the hexagram of veneration, i re-member and venerate this being born eight years and a day before my birth… being cancerian crabs, we also share a love of water, today calls me into the field of water crystals to honor his life on the anniversary of his death and seeing that date brings up an image of the occupy movement of eight years ago inspiring my occupying the abundance of infinite love and gratitude, now known as dwelling in the abundance of infinite love and gratitude…
so many synchronicities, so many interconnections as i gaze at this water crystal called love and thanks, letting Dr Emoto’s words on gratitude perfume consciousness…
i aspire to being the embodiment of gratitude and practice daily with a continuous loop of thank yous as one of the most transformative acts on our way to being shining…
thank you, thank you, thank you, Masaru, for opening us to water’s hidden messages…
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 304 – 10/16/2019
the miracle is to walk on earth in a sacred way as a free and easy wanderer of wonder breathing in the rhythm of the waves dwelling deeply in the present moment feeling every wild cell humming with abandon in the inner quiet of the stillpoint…
~
today i awaken to being a free and easy wanderer, that liberated state of being the pathless path magnetically pulls us to dance…

A MIND THAT HAS NO WALLS, THAT IS NOT BURDENED WITH ITS OWN ACQUISITIONS, ACCUMULATIONS, WITH ITS OWN KNOWLEDGE, A MIND THAT LIVES TIMELESSLY, INSECURELY – TO SUCH A MIND, LIFE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY THING. SUCH A MIND IS LIFE ITSELF, BECAUSE LIFE HAS NO RESTING PLACE.

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 303 – 10/15/2019
there seems to be something so potent in the rhythm of the autumnal web of life, especially around the ides, mid-month… each turn around the sun at this moment i feel the collective dark night, the collective trauma reaching feverish pitch so intensely and spilling into the personal realm… as the full moon of the stormy seas and global dark night cast a shadow across the cosmos, i’ve been experiencing a mini dark night, profound loss in a brief moment until i act like a squirrel by gathering the quintessence and calling in Porcupine Goddess to share an ancient wisdom story illuminating the place i and we find ourselves…
long ago, in the coldest winter ever, many of our relations were dying… we of the porcupine council met and decided we’d nestle together to keep warm and stay alive… alas, we were warm but the quills of our neighbors were wounding us, so we decided to separate from each other to relieve the hurts of living in close quarters… although now we were protected from being wounded, we began to die one by one, alone and frozen cold… faced with our extinction or living as wounded porcupines, we chose wisely – deciding to return to being together… we learned to live with wounds caused by being in close relationship to receive the greater benefit of the warmth that comes from others. this way, we were able to not only survive but also to thrive; to flourish in regenerative cycles organically arising from the harmony sung by the implicate order…
may we be as wise as our porcupine relations real-eye-sing interdependence, the way of the openheart, is the way…

Rising Up on Indigenous Peoples Day
for life to continue on earth, every day must be indigenous peoples day and so with the deepest intention, today’s contemplation is dedicated to all indigenous relatives in this moment of great planetary crisis…
~
“There comes a time when all life on Earth is in danger. Barbarian powers have arisen. Although they waste their wealth in preparations to annihilate each other, they have much in common: weapons of unfathomable devastation and technologies that lay waste the world. It is now, when the future of all beings hangs by the frailest of threads, that the kingdom of Shambhala emerges.
Now you can’t go there because it is not a place. It exists in the hearts and minds of the Shambhala Warriors. And you can’t tell a Shambhala Warrior by looking at her and him. The time is coming said Rinpoche when great courage is required of the Shambhala warriors, moral courage and physical courage and that’s because they are going to go right into the heart of the barbarian powers to dismantle their weapons.”
Joanna Macy recounts the twelve centuries old Tibetan Buddhist prophecy as told to her by her teacher

as Changing Woman dons her seasonal robes shifting the colors of the landscape, do you feel the shifting consciousness moving us from suffering a domination consciousness to celebrating an embodied, relational, holistic, sacred way of being in harmony with the web of life?
where we… respect natural laws, live in reciprocity with our earth mother, live within capacity, respect the sacredness of all our relations, of nature as a sanctuary that fills our every need, listen to the voice of the first peoples whose ear to the past and eye to the future grounds them in the present moment as a fractal of every moment…
this ecological tipping moment where their call to action to stand for our water and air and trees is ever so timely and so critical… no more polluting water, cutting down trees, digging out oil for oil is earth mother’s blood and if we dig it, creation will die…
may we all stand in solidarity with the wisdom and ways of an embodied, wholistic consciousness simultaneously referencing past and future informing our actions in the here and the now to live well with deep reverence and close to the ground in sacred relationship with our mothership…

walk
wandering on a trail of
love, may we walk

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 301 – 10/13/2019
holy synchronicity! today is the day of celebrating the astonishing light of our being along with the full moon of stormy seas, a full moon of lightning fast change and transformation…
this full moon, also known as the wise woman (witch, witke) is certainly that as she whispers to us of being the whirlwind, the change, the transformation and shifting into the ancient story rising anew… of coming home to heart consciousness, sacred space of belongingness, beloved community where there’s only one of us here in a thousand thousandfold forms in an ever expanding field of awakening dreamers, imaginal cells as deep and wide as ocean and sky…
in my cell of the cosmos, today dawns in just this way as a sister pilgrim takes her leave to venture out to meet the daughter of her daughter…
it’s such a powerful moment and i sync deeply into the illuminating supercharged currents radiating from sister moon to listen, listen, listen…
today, everything can change in a moment and we can exercise our superpower of unstoppability… breathing into this moment, sauntering into this moment, looking into the fire of this moment as i feel the igniting of the creative flow. i hear the wise woman…

“I who am the beauty of the white moon among the stars and the mysteries of the waters,
I call upon your soul to arise and come unto Me. For I am the soul of nature that gives life to the universe. From Me all things proceed and unto Me they must return.
Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold — all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals. Let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you.And you who seek to know Me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the Mystery: for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without.
For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.”

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 300 – 10/12/2019
sending this moment, this beautiful moment of interbeing out into the openhearted field with Thay’s words…
~
Interbeing
If you are a poet, you will see clearly that there is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper. Without a cloud, there will be no rain; without rain, the trees cannot grow; and without trees, we cannot make paper. The cloud is essential for the paper to exist. If the cloud is not here, the sheet of paper cannot be here either. So we can say that the cloud and the paper inter-are. “Interbeing” is a word that is not in the dictionary yet, but if we combine the prefix “inter-” with the verb “to be,” we ha vea new verb, inter-be. Without a cloud and the sheet of paper inter-are.
If we look into this sheet of paper even more deeply, we can see the sunshine in it. If the sunshine is not there, the forest cannot grow. In fact, nothing can grow. Even we cannot grow without sunshine. And so, we know that the sunshine is also in this sheet of paper. The paper and the sunshine inter-are. And if we continue to look, we can see the logger who cut the tree and brought it to the mill to be transformed into paper. And wesee the wheat. We now the logger cannot exist without his daily bread, and therefore the wheat that became his bread is also in this sheet of paper. And the logger’s father and mother are in it too. When we look in this way, we see that without all of these things, this sheet of paper cannot exist.
Looking even more deeply, we can see we are in it too. This is not difficult to see, because when we look at a sheet of paper, the sheet of paper is part of our perception. Your mind is in here and mine is also. So we can say that everything is in here with this sheet of paper. You cannot point out one thing that is not here-time, space, the earth, the rain, the minerals in the soil, the sunshine, the cloud, the river, the heat. Everything co-exists with this sheet of paper. That is why I think the word inter-be should be in the dictionary. “To be” is to inter-be. You cannot just be by yourself alone. You have to inter-be with every other thing. This sheet of paper is, because everything else is.
Suppose we try to return one of the elements to its source. Suppose we return the sunshine to the sun. Do you think that this sheet of paper will be possible? No, without sunshine nothing can be. And if we return the logger to his mother, then we have no sheet of paper either. The fact is that this sheet of paper is made up only of “non-paper elements.” And if we return these non-paper elements to their sources, then there can be no paper at all. Without “non-paper elements,” like mind, logger, sunshine and so on, there will be no paper. As thin as this sheet of paper is, it contains everything in the universe in it.

Happy 93rd Day of Continuation, Thay!
~
Thousandfold thanks for a lifetime of teaching us and showing us the way, of being peace, of walking our talk and being an example for others, for introducing us to the miracle of mindfulness, for always being love and being present in the present moment, wonderful moment… may we all mindfully breathe with you in every precious moment… may we re-member we have arrived and are home in beloved community…
~
“I think that the Buddha is already here. If you are mindful enough you can see the Buddha in anything, especially in the sangha. The twentieth century was the century of individualism, but we don’t want that anymore. Now we try to live as a community. We want to flow like a river, not a drop of water. The river will surely arrive at the ocean, but a drop of water may evaporate halfway. That’s why it is possible for us to recognize that the presence of the Buddha is the here and now. I think that every step, every breath, every word that is spoken or done in mindfulness—that is the manifestation of the Buddha. Don’t look for the Buddha elsewhere. It is in the art of living mindfully every moment of your life.”

May I Be a Guard
May I be a guard for those who need protection
A guide for those on the path
A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood
May I be a lamp in the darkness
A resting place for the weary
A healing medicine for all who are sick
A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles
And for the boundless multitudes of living beings
May I bring sustenance and awakening
Enduring like the earth and the sky
Until all beings are free from sorrow
And all are awakened.
~May we awaken…
