today is an in between times day having leapt off the ledge and now drifting through the clouds of unknowing trusting in the shell to break open to wings waiting for just this moment to fly away home to the vast ocean of love…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 100 – 3/25/2016
today, as many of us across the globe honor this day as Good Friday, i contemplate what crucifixion means and where it leads… on each of our paths, aren’t we led daily to the cross roads where we are given the choice to dissolve into and serve our greater self who responds in kind with wholeheartedly entering the human realm? Isn’t this cross the true cross, the sacred stillpoint in the tiny space of the heart where every dance begins, where we real-eyes the gift of our suffering, of our bearing whatever is with grace, is what leads to the deepest peace of the flowing river of joy?
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 99 – 3/24/2016
in celebration of we’moon herstory month, on this day observed in the christian calendar as the last supper, it seems very fitting to re-member the day from a divine feminine perspective, as a rolicking dinner party a la Judy Chicago’s reinterpretation of The Last Supper from the point of view of women, who, throughout history, have prepared the meals and set the table…
for almost thirty years, a print of this acrylic has hung in the dining area wherever i live honoring the feminine energy of communion, of feasting, of sharing and sacrificing (as in making sacred) what we have with others…
last year on the day of the last supper, i arrived on the isle of avalon, sacred space of the goddess where beloved community of thirteen joined in the breaking of bread and drinking of holy water and clean-sing (cleansing), as in the washing of feet, of our soles who kiss the earth and ground us into embodied presence…
in this moment, in every moment, we offer thanks for our last supper/first supper, last breath/first breath, our always flowing in the rhythm of dying/rebirthing, ebbing/flowing, breathing in/breathing out always being love, always becoming love…
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 98 – 3/23/2016
Full Moon Blessing
we are standing around a fire with all our relations giving thanks… we are a circle of power conjoined in our intent to be love, peace, joy, harmony and balance under the glow of the libra full moon as we travel within and without our ever expanding cosmos… we are feeling the power of luna and how she amplifies our frequency… we greet and welcome the directions, elementals and all our helping spirits… looking out, we see vast ocean and hear the rolling waves coming in and out like our breath… as we gaze at beautiful sky, sister moon bathes us in silvery, shimmering light…
we breathe in invisible realms as we walk out into the forest primeval and our soles tenderly kiss the earth with each and every step… when we arrive at a great clearing with a radiant fire in the center, we thank the spirits for this sacred space and see our guardian spirit approaching to cleanse us with herbs and a feather… with this clean-sing, we are unburdened and walk over to the fire where we pick up a prayer blessing from the earth and resonate deeply with its hidden message… we look to the moon and feel her great creative power washing through us, filling us with a dream of and for the cosmos…
as the moon opens our one heart, we, in turn, open to her creative fire and blow onto our prayer blessing amplifying its intention and then offering it to the fire in the center of the circle where we see all our prayers burning as one eternal flame… now, we all stand wide and deep with our arms outstretched as five pointed stars bridging earth and sky and ask sistar moon for how to best flow with the river of life… we close the circle with giving thanks to the night star of magnetic tides, the one who flows in us as the rhythm of waves waxing and waning eternally…
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 97 – 3/22/2016
UN Water’s World Water Day on March 22 is a part of a worldwide mission to make sure everyone has access to safe drinking water. Right now, many of the world’s poorest do not have access to one of our most valuable natural resources.
In many areas around the world, taps, pipes and wells just don’t exist, and if they do they’re not affordable for many people. It means drinking dirty water is their only option with dirty water being responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths a year.
May we all envision and answer the urgent call to action for a world where everyone drinks safe water…
Prayer When Drinking Water
As I receive this water and it flows through me,
May it become medicine dispelling all ills,
May it become medicine revealing the wisdom within and through out.
I offer apology for any harm done through wrong speech & action
As this water flows through me and becomes vapor,
May it purify the atmosphere
May it nourish the wisdom potential in the people
I offer apology for any harm done through wrong speech & action
As this water flows through me, and returns to the water table
May it remove the impurities of chemicals placed within the water
May the water be made new again
May this water become medicine for all beings in this and all worlds

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 96 – 3/21/2016
today, i savor our weekend pilgrimage of anointing, balance and confluence desiring simply that this moment of communion with soul family – grandmother ocean and river, grandfather star nation, earth mother, sky father, sister moon, brother sun, deer cousins, whale ancestors, sea eagle and crow nations, raindrop and stone people – continue forever and so it is… every moment a blessing…
today, i re-member it was a year ago to the day that a dream whispered to go into the waste land and anoint and so i have taken on this mission of carrying holy water on every outer and inner journey to bodies of water be they oceans or rivers or bays or pools or puddles or poodles or people… every moment as grace…
every journey a blessingway, a blessingway of deepening balance, a flowing with the waters of life in beautiful harmony… every moment sacred…
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 95 – 3/20/2016
an amazing pilgrimage of confluence… flowing with my trusty co-pilgrim and daughter and always Beloved, in 33 hours we travel 222 miles blessing the waters, who always bless us, with 11 ceremonies… we’ve joined in Oregon’s annual whale watch ten times; this year is the first in our nine years of the confluence of whale watching and blessing the waters day… a whale watching pilgrimage all the more sacred with our returning to the last destination of our very first whalewatching adventure, the place of much re-joy-sing for the band of explorers guided by Sacagawea some 211 years earlier, a journey called for by ancestor, Thomas Jefferson who attempted to send expedition parties twice before to reach the Pacific Ocean… the third time’s the charm as the Lewis and Clark expedition experience the thrill of seeing the majestic ocean… by the time we arrive home, i feel like i’ve literally traveled from sea to shining sea so complete the retracing of the journey through national and state parks’ and Confluence Project’s beautiful installations… we enter so fully into the experience that we are on that perilous expedition of 211 years ago and it is the first moment of beholding the Pacific…
thousandfold thanks, Beloved, for always flowing with us, flowing through us, flowing us home in this moment, this beautiful moment…
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 94 – 3/19/2016
what an amazing day…. it’s Water Blessing Day and the first day of Whale Watching Week along the Pacific NW coast, an event my daughter and i have been attending since 2007 and for our tenth time, we’ll retrace some steps from that first pilgrimage nine years ago ending at the trail’s last destination – Il Waco and Cape Disappointment… as if this were not more than enough, today is also Equinox… can you imagine a better way to savor this day of balance than in blessing water?
everyday is truly blessing water day, water is the innernet connecting us all, the more blessings of peace, love and harmony we pour into water, the more peaceful, loving and harmonious life is… thousandfold thanks for our joining hands across the cosmos in sacred honoring… thousandfold thanks, water for giving us life and blessing our earth walks… standing before you, we re-member we are water, we are the ocean in a drop… may our one heart be purified more than ever before for the benefit of all as we drink you into our being and as water reciprocates in the next breath by blessing us and generously bestowing pure water spirits throughout the web of life… water is a mirror for us as well as perfectly mirroring us… water responds in perfect harmony to the messages we send; the more beautiful our transmission, the more beautifully water creates all that is..
In Praise of Water
Let us bless the grace of water:
The imagination of the primeval ocean
Where the first forms of life stirred
And emerged to dress the vacant earth
With warm quilts of color.
The well whose liquid root worked
Through the long night of clay,
Trusting ahead of itself openings
That would yet yield to its yearning
Until at last it arises in the desire of light
To discover the pure quiver of itself
Flowing crystal clear and free
Through delighted emptiness.
The courage of a river to continue belief
In the slow fall of ground,
Always falling farther
Toward the unseen ocean.
The river does what words would love,
Keeping its appearance
By insisting on disappearance;
Its only life surrendered
To the event of pilgrimage,
Carrying the origin to the end.
Seldom pushing or straining,
Keeping itself to itself
Everywhere all along its flow…
Let us bless the humility of water,
Always willing to take the shape
Of whatever otherness holds it,
The buoyancy of water
Stronger than the deadening,
Downward drag of gravity,
The innocence of water,
Flowing forth, without thought
Of what awaits it,
The refreshment of water,
Dissolving the crystals of thirst.
Water: voice of grief,
Cry of love,
In the flowing tear.
Water: vehicle and idiom
Of all the inner voyaging
That keeps us alive.
Blessed be water,
Our first mother.
Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 93 – 3/18/2016
such a beautiful day of flow… carried by the wind to the temple of flow and, yes, i am like a drop of rain flowing home where i dance with the wind and the trees in fluid, spirited motion as purification for tomorrow’s pilgrimage of blessing the waters on the equinox, sacred moment of balance….
will you join with me here and now in a blessing the waters ceremony with drumming, dancing, singing and ringing the bell?
we all come from the goddess
and to her we shall return
like a drop of rain flowing to the ocean
~
we all come from the goddess
and to her we shall return
hoof and horn, hoof and horn, all that dies is reborn
~
we all come from the goddess
and to her we shall return
sage and crone, sage and crone, wisdom’s gift is our own
~
we all come from the goddess
and to her we shall return
like a drop of rain flowing to the ocean

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 3 – Day 92 – 3/17/2016
on this day of celebrating the wild, poetically enchanting, magical Ireland, who better to hear an echo from than her late great native son, John O’Donahue…
A Celebration Blessing
Now is the time
to free the heart,
Let all intentions and worries stop,
Free the joy inside the self,
Awaken to the wonder
of your life.
Open your eyes and see the friends
Whose hearts recognize your face as kin,
Those whose kindness watchful and near,
Encourages you to live everything here.
See the gifts the years have given,
Things your effort could never earn,
The health to enjoy who you want to be
And the mind to mirror mystery.
