Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 364 – 12/15/2021

With every breath, I plant the seeds of devotion. I am a farmer of the heart.

~ Rumi ~

“I can think of no other edifice constructed by ‘man’ as altruistic as a lighthouse. They were built only to serve.”

~ George Bernard Shaw ~

on this ides of december, this day of rain falling and the day taking me on such a different journey than i’d imagined, this next to last day of my calendar year, i want to take this moment of voicing thaksgiving for all our relatives traversing the pathless rainbow trail… here we are on the 4th day of the 12/12 portal, a moment of eternity when light rains down as at the same time we move into the soulstice rhythm when we all slow down and stand still with the sun… in gratitude for our holding the light sacredly, for our interbeing as a lighthouse, join with me in invking the light of resurrection…

in the name of the Great Mother, we invoke the benevolent streams of universal light to come and enfold us in a soft cocoon of love’s transforming grace… COME COME COME subtle realms of elevated and deepened vibration and infuse this coalescing energetic matrix with the purest frequencies of harmony, balance and peace… may this field of redeeming grace weave ever so gently, in, through and around us now, blessing us with its qualities of enduring strength and resilience… we now invite the inner light to enter into the deepest regions of our thoughts and feelings offering up all of our resistances, attachments, pains, stress, anxiety and suffering… please help us to see our personal circumstances through the eyes of the soul shifting our perceptions into right understanding, that we may pass through our difficult times with more grace and equanimity… thank you for deep and abiding comfort embodying every wild cell as we re-member who we really are… there is no greater source of comfort than the inner light…

may our hearts be softened, may our minds be purified, may our words be more tenderly spoken, may our thoughts extend love to every living thing, may our actions be a blessing unto the world, may our souls shine , and may we be continually humbled in alignment with the most expansive and deepest blessing for all… thank you, thank you, thank you…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 363 – 12/14/2021

“The endurance of darkness is the preparation for great light.”

holy synchronisiddhi! on this third day of nine days of the portal of stargate, the gateway of light, it is the feast day of st john of the cross, patron saint of contemplatives, mystics and poets… centuries ahead of the modern discovery of the unconscious, st john spoke of darkness, inner journeys, and the shadow self… his genius, his gift for the good of the whole was in living and speaking about the imperative of transformation of embracing the dark night of the soul and holding steadfast trusting in benevolent great mystery to lovingly bring forth the light…

blessed bee… and so it is… we are walking light waves, souls dressed in sacred biochemical garments playing our soul songs… and, yes! this is the moment of eternity to re-weave the dreamtime world with the wonder, wisdom and great mystery of being alive, fully alive transforming awakened consciousness into the even more beautiful world of beloved communitas…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 362 – 12/13/2021

You have no need to travel anywhere – journey within yourself. Enter a mine of rubies and bathe in the splendor of your own light.

~ Rumi ~

the more deeply i dwell in the sacred spaciousness of the eternal present moment continuously chanting make me an instrument of peace and a chorus of thank yous and welcomes and the more wholeheartedly i surrender to love and being loving presence in every moment, the more i am taken to places i could not imagine, to ultima thule, the great beyond within our one cosmic body… today, on this second day of the stargate portal as i look back over 362 days of tripping to unplanned places, i’m in awe of the wondrous beauty of unfolding mystery we see as we are pulled by the pathless path of the heart…

The Journey

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice–
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
“Mend my life!”
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world
,
determined to do
the only thing you could do–
determined to save
the only life you could save.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 361 – 12/12/2021

welcome, well come to this potent 12/12 gateway, a powerful portal of light, a master angel number of illumination and clairvoyance on this day dedicated worldwide to the Celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother Mary who is presenting all our relations with an opportunity to receive a powerful gift of light to prepare each of us at a cellular level to receive the most intensified frequencies of light the earth has ever known with the ability to shift awareness…

to honor this blessing on this sacred feast day of the patron saint of all that is unborn in us, join me in breathing in deeply into the womb of wisdom and then enacting the Rite of the Womb as we gather around a vessel of water filled with flower petals or greens of the earth proclaiming our intention…

breathe in deeply into the womb space of wisdom living the quest ion of what gifts and pains are held in the dark womb of creation, what wants releasing and what wants to flow forth… breathe in deeply again from the womb of the eathmother who loves us so and listen deeply to what the womb of wisdom has to share after we proclaim our sacred intention…

the womb is not a place to store fear and pain, the womb is to create and give birth to life… the womb is not a place to store fear and pain, the womb is to create and give birth to life… the womb is not a place to store fear and pain, the womb is to create and give birth to life…

now, as we light the 13 candles representing the 13 moons of the turn of the sun, we sing the ancient chant…. we all come from the mother and to her we shall return like a drop of rain flowing to the ocean… raising our arms, we summon the spirits saying: the womb is the sacred space to create and give birth to life… placing our hands on the womb space in the center of our bellies, our being, we activate this rite saying: the womb is a sacred space to create and give birth to life…

blessed be this gift of healing light bringing all that is into greater and greater wholeness and everlasting life…

may we all greet this day of  joyous light openheartedly dwelling in the cathedral, in the temple of her open heart choosing love with every breath and living the messages arising from the deep anima mundi, the soul of the womb of creation resting in the beauty of mama gaiatree…

now, let us close the circle of blessing for the portal of light that is opening as we approach the soulstice and stand still with the sun in eternal golden light with these words…

~

 A Blessing

Let us dwell within the Cathedral of Her Heart.
Let us keep choosing to be love no matter what.
Let us see what is called forth from our deepest longings.
Let us listen to the messages rising up from the resilient soul.
Let us rest into beauty so that we may be encouraged.
Let us tend this sacred planet as if we are her children.
Let us honor one another so that we may learn how this goes.
Let us be strong enough to stand for what we believe.
Let us allow our full colors to be expressed in our lives.
Amen. Thank you. Amen.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 360 – 12/11/2021

“And don’t think the garden loses its ecstasy in winter. It’s quiet, but the roots are down there riotous.” ~ Rumi ~

as the light in the outer world of the northern hemisphere grows dimmer and the light of the moon waxes in both hemispheres, let’s take this moment of eternity to kindle the inner light by drinking in the words of an extraordinary light bearerone of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize ICAN recipients proving that though it may be winter in the northern hemisphere, the roots of peace are riotous indeed…

“Your Majesties,
Distinguished members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee,
My fellow campaigners, here and throughout the world,
Ladies and gentlemen,

It is a great privilege to accept this award, together with Beatrice, on behalf of all the remarkable human beings who form the ICAN movement. You each give me such tremendous hope that we can – and will – bring the era of nuclear weapons to an end.

I speak as a member of the family of hibakusha – those of us who, by some miraculous chance, survived the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. For more than seven decades, we have worked for the total abolition of nuclear weapons.

We have stood in solidarity with those harmed by the production and testing of these horrific weapons around the world. People from places with long-forgotten names, like Moruroa, Ekker, Semipalatinsk, Maralinga, Bikini. People whose lands and seas were irradiated, whose bodies were experimented upon, whose cultures were forever disrupted.

We were not content to be victims. We refused to wait for an immediate fiery end or the slow poisoning of our world. We refused to sit idly in terror as the so-called great powers took us past nuclear dusk and brought us recklessly close to nuclear midnight. We rose up. We shared our stories of survival. We said: humanity and nuclear weapons cannot coexist.

Today, I want you to feel in this hall the presence of all those who perished in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I want you to feel, above and around us, a great cloud of a quarter million souls. Each person had a name. Each person was loved by someone. Let us ensure that their deaths were not in vain.

I was just 13 years old when the United States dropped the first atomic bomb, on my city Hiroshima. I still vividly remember that morning. At 8:15, I saw a blinding bluish-white flash from the window. I remember having the sensation of floating in the air.

As I regained consciousness in the silence and darkness, I found myself pinned by the collapsed building. I began to hear my classmates’ faint cries: ‘Mother, help me. God, help me.’

Then, suddenly, I felt hands touching my left shoulder, and heard a man saying: ‘Don’t give up! Keep pushing! I am trying to free you. See the light coming through that opening? Crawl towards it as quickly as you can.’ As I crawled out, the ruins were on fire. Most of my classmates in that building were burned to death alive. I saw all around me utter, unimaginable devastation.

Processions of ghostly figures shuffled by. Grotesquely wounded people, they were bleeding, burnt, blackened and swollen. Parts of their bodies were missing. Flesh and skin hung from their bones. Some with their eyeballs hanging in their hands. Some with their bellies burst open, their intestines hanging out. The foul stench of burnt human flesh filled the air.

Thus, with one bomb my beloved city was obliterated. Most of its residents were civilians who were incinerated, vaporized, carbonized – among them, members of my own family and 351 of my schoolmates.

In the weeks, months and years that followed, many thousands more would die, often in random and mysterious ways, from the delayed effects of radiation. Still to this day, radiation is killing survivors.

Whenever I remember Hiroshima, the first image that comes to mind is of my four-year-old nephew, Eiji – his little body transformed into an unrecognizable melted chunk of flesh. He kept begging for water in a faint voice until his death released him from agony.

To me, he came to represent all the innocent children of the world, threatened as they are at this very moment by nuclear weapons. Every second of every day, nuclear weapons endanger everyone we love and everything we hold dear. We must not tolerate this insanity any longer.

Through our agony and the sheer struggle to survive – and to rebuild our lives from the ashes – we hibakusha became convinced that we must warn the world about these apocalyptic weapons. Time and again, we shared our testimonies.

But still some refused to see Hiroshima and Nagasaki as atrocities – as war crimes. They accepted the propaganda that these were “good bombs” that had ended a “just war”. It was this myth that led to the disastrous nuclear arms race – a race that continues to this day.

Nine nations still threaten to incinerate entire cities, to destroy life on earth, to make our beautiful world uninhabitable for future generations. The development of nuclear weapons signifies not a country’s elevation to greatness, but its descent to the darkest depths of depravity. These weapons are not a necessary evil; they are the ultimate evil.

On the seventh of July this year, I was overwhelmed with joy when a great majority of the world’s nations voted to adopt the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. Having witnessed humanity at its worst, I witnessed, that day, humanity at its best. We hibakusha had been waiting for the ban for seventy-two years. Let this be the beginning of the end of nuclear weapons.

All responsible leaders will sign this treaty. And history will judge harshly those who reject it. No longer shall their abstract theories mask the genocidal reality of their practices. No longer shall “deterrence” be viewed as anything but a deterrent to disarmament. No longer shall we live under a mushroom cloud of fear.

To the officials of nuclear-armed nations – and to their accomplices under the so-called “nuclear umbrella” – I say this: Listen to our testimony. Heed our warning. And know that your actions are consequential. You are each an integral part of a system of violence that is endangering humankind. Let us all be alert to the banality of evil.

To every president and prime minister of every nation of the world, I beseech you: Join this treaty; forever eradicate the threat of nuclear annihilation.

When I was a 13-year-old girl, trapped in the smouldering rubble, I kept pushing. I kept moving toward the light. And I survived. Our light now is the ban treaty. To all in this hall and all listening around the world, I repeat those words that I heard called to me in the ruins of Hiroshima: ‘Don’t give up! Keep pushing! See the light? Crawl towards it.’

Tonight, as we march through the streets of Oslo with torches aflame, let us follow each other out of the dark night of nuclear terror. No matter what obstacles we face, we will keep moving and keep pushing and keep sharing this light with others. This is our passion and commitment for our one precious world to survive.”

~ Setsuko Thurlow ~

To all  listening around the world, repeat those words heard in the ruins of Hiroshima: “Don’t give up! Keep pushing! See the light? Crawl towards it.”

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 359 – 12/10/2021

seventy-three years ago today, the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the wake of WWII and the Holocaust… Eleanor Roosevelt—the principle architect of the declaration—understood and personified the power of wise leadership… she knew that the most effective way to lead is by example—by living our values…  when we live up to the declaration’s ideals, more people can live in freedom, with dignity and agency, and share their gifts with the world… we know that respect for human rights is foundational for peace, justice, and security and that in this new millénium, we extend this declaration to be more inclusive and declare the rights of nature including all our relatives…

may the the Universal Declaration of Human Rights continue to be a global beacon – shining a light for dignity, equality & well-being for all and may we extend its reach truly to all as the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Nature…

All the Hemispheres

Leave the familiar for a while.
Let your senses and bodies stretch out

Like a welcomed season
Onto the meadows and shores and hills.

Open up to the Roof.
Make a new water-mark on your excitement
And love.

Like a blooming night flower,
Bestow your vital fragrance of happiness
And giving
Upon our intimate assembly.

Change rooms in your mind for a day.

All the hemispheres in existence
Lie beside an equator
In your heart.

Greet Yourself
In your thousand other forms
As you mount the hidden tide and travel
Back home.

All the hemispheres in heaven
Are sitting around a fire
Chatting

While stitching themselves together
Into the Great Circle inside of
You.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 358 – 12/9/2021

inspired by a day of sitting by the fire watching the rains fall and the clouds dance with the sun, let us come together in this moment of eternity with singing in the spirts, the ancestors who are with us always and feel their presence as we gather round the holy fire of inspiration looking deeply into the anima mundi, great mystery and seeing the shimmering thread calling out to each of us to pickup and weave into the seamless world wide web of life, the circle that can never be broken irrevocably…

inspired by the fire, our roots deeply grounded in earth with our branches reaching high into the sky, let us dive deeply into the ocean of being to re-member, to member again a cosmos of heart consciousness, of harmony and peace and compassion and wisdom as we swim in the rhythm of waves that echo to us when we listen that the cosm is a vast spaciousness of original blessing supporting us unconditionally with an ever expanding wingspan…

looking into the fire, i see and hear the world restored, radically regenerating with our midwifing the rebirthing of a world where rights of nature is the only law, living each moment as sacred ceremony in right relationship with all creation is the way of this world where we are liberated to be whole with our muscle for pushing, so important in birthing, exercised moment by moment to see and be the truth, to tell the truth of every walk of life so that we live in balance, in interdependence, we interbe…

and what is the world you see forming and hear breathing when you look into the fire of inspiration and exercise the birthing muscle of pushing to accomplish what may have falsely seemed an impossible and overwhelming task until you do it and rea-eyes nature, true nature has the final say?

boundless love and gratitude…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 357 – 12/8/2021

today’s pilgrimage continues a bearing witness vigil which feels so right, so synchronous on this 41st anniversary of the death of john and bodhi day, the day of awakening and the day of a rainbow stretching across the river as i began ceremony…

in his honor, in honor of all our relatives, all awakened hours of this  day i am imagining… everyone living in the moment… letting it be… looking from our real eyes and real-eye-sing we are one…. all our relations living in peace… all of us dreaming the same dream into reality… sharing the world freely and generously… knowing no one is free, happy, healthy until we all are…

what a legacy! how fully you served in your four short decades on this planet before being cut down so abruptly forty-one years ago… thousand fold thanks, dear poet rebel with a cause… thousand fold thanks, cosmic ambassador of peace…

blessed be!

Imagine

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

~

may we all awaken as Buddha did on this day to a new understanding of reality and the meaning of life and real- eyes what we’ve been seeking has been here all along, right in front of us, in our own backyard, in the core of our being… as simple as it is to meet each moment, it’s not so easy to meet each moment openly, with beginner mind, without preconception and what a joy to experience this liberation… may we all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 356 – 12/7/2021

today is the 80th anniversary of pearl harbor and i intend on attending to bearing witness to peace and pachamama, the living earth…

WE ARE EARTH.
JUST LIKE EARTH, OUR BODIES ARE 70% WATER,
WITH THE SAME PROPORTION OF SALT AS THE OCEANS.
OUR BONES ARE MADE STRONG BY LIMESTONE
THAT COMES FROM PREHISTORIC SHELLFISH.
EVERY ATOM OF OUR BODY
HAS BEEN A ROCK OR A BUTTERFLY OR A DAISY OR A LION.
WHAT WE CALL MOUNTAIN, AIR, AND OCEAN
ARE THE BONES, THE BREATH, AND THE BLOOD
OF OUR MOST ANCIENT ANCESTORS
AND OUR FUTURE DESCENDANTS.
WE BELONG TO EARTH.

we come together today from across the planet, our island home for a twemty-four hour vigil to bear witness and take action for our earthmother, our one body, our home…

may we open to the complexity and mystery of our relationship to Earth and develop our humanity so that we can hold more of the whole and respond to life from that wholeness by connecting with the truth that we are one body…

our earth mother’s heartbeat echoes through all our relations… feel the momentum building as more and more of us hear her call to rise up and stand together as one large orchestra playing a seamless symphony and re-joy-sing in the harmony we embody as a beautiful wave now encircling the cosmos – peace prevails on earth, love is all there is… peace prevails on earth, love is all there is… peace prevails on earth, love is all there is… peace prevails on earth, love is all there is…

join with me now in breathing deeply in to the womb of being while placing a hand on your heart and with each deep breath, feel your heart, our one heart, opening a little wider re-membering we all belong to each other, each of our individual destinies is tied with our one collective destiny… to journey to the core of our being, to our heart of gold to be our original face of radiant love, dancing with rainbow mystery…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 355 – 12/6/2021

dear ones, i awaken for the second day in the lighthouse on the banks of the river reflecting on the great turning with saturday being personally the day of fledging and collectively the day of eclipsing and new mooning and sunday the day of wu weiing and today still unconnected to the internet and unable to post, the innernet connection guides infallibly into deep appreciation for the mystery of life’s unfolding for the benefit of us in these times of profound uncertainty and rapid flux…

On This Day of Opening

open my eyes so i may vision

open my ears so i may listen

open my voice so i may rejoice

open my heart so i may know

thank you for this day of wandering in wonder, moving through turbulence, traveling in concert with the rains, looking deeply into the river to see the river below the river where we flow as one, listening to the migrating geese, re-joy-sing in the promised expansive dwelling space for the inspirited soul to in joy …

thank you for the gift of digging deeper and deeper into the soil/soul of our true nature and winging our way more and more expansively with the spirits of the cosm… stilling the noise to feel the pulse of our essence, the heartbeat of love always flowing inside and radiating outward in ever-widening circles of compassion and care…

thank you, grandmother spider, for weaving the web of life where all relatives belong and are essential for the turning of the wheel…
