the children of the earth gathered today in front of the Atomic Dome in the Hiroshima Memorial Park at exactly the time 71 years earlier that an explosion of atoms shattered the world… today, millions gather in front of the dome and across the world for an explosion of a different sort… an explosion of love, a chorus of voices with every country in the world represented in one unified prayer for peace…

yes, the heart of all our relations choir is now unstoppable… yes, peace prevails on earth…

thousandfold thanks for standing together in love…

Named Awakening August 4 PEACE in Japan

The World Peace Prayer Society and James Twyman are collaborating on a year long journey to Light up the World with Peace by focusing  the prayers of millions of people who are dedicated to healing the heart of humanity…

today, i prepare for a prayer vigil tomorrow for nuclear disarmament on the 71st anniversary of the first atomic bomb which fell on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945…

thank you for joining with me in being a pulse that lights up the world with prayers for harmony, conscious evolution and for peace to prevail on Earth…

here is one of the prayers we will recite together…

The Nuclear Prayer

The Beginning and the End are in your hands, O Creator of the Universe. And in our hands you have placed the fate of this planet. We, who are tested by having both creative and destructive power in our free will, turn to you in sober fear and in intoxicating hope. We ask for your guidance and to share in your imagination in our deliberations about the use of nuclear force. Help us to lift the fog of atomic darkness that hovers so pervasively over our Earth, Your Earth, so that soon all eyes may see life magnified by your pure light.

Bless all of us who wait today for your Presence and who dedicate ourselves to achieve your intended peace and rightful equilibrium on Earth. In the Name of all that is holy and all that is hoped. Amen.

i love beginning each moon/month with this beautiful blessing… awakening august is no exception as we all step onto new ground, on a path that has been quietly forming in the background just waiting for us to awaken…

and, so many of our relations are doing just that and hearing the cries of the world, feeling the suffering and responding with compassion, letting the pain strengthen our realization of belonging to each other and the reality of interdependence – we must stand together in love…

as we step onto new ground, let’s step up our practice of unconditional opening to all that arises… taking in the suffering, transmuting it into compassion and sending it out as lovingkindness and peace…

recognizing the great benefit of loving all our relations,

may we bring all beings to joy and peace through the strength of devotion…

breathing in the heaviness of agitation or anger or sorrow or rage,

we breathe out the lightness of well-being and peace…

Named Awakening August 2 Leo-Lammas moon new black

i love new moons and their magnetic pull to go within, to slow down, to pause and listen to the cosmic hum, the music of the one animating spirit flowing through you, flowing through me, flowing through all our relations…

and, with this new moon of renewal coinciding with the ancient first harvest celebration of and thanksgiving for all the many blessings, the power of this moment is magnified exponentially…

so, in this regenerative space fueled generously by gratitude, take a wild joyride on the high tides of sister moon into the ocean of imagination and dream wildly and expansively of what you’ll cultivate to serve the all…

how auspicious! beginning this new moon of awakening august with a new moon, a moon of strength, a moon of renewal, a moon of infinity, alpha and omega, a moon of strength, a moon to re-member, a moon to be tender…

i re-member tenderly that in my second year memorialized by this picture, i had the big awakening dream of the rainbow serpent who has guided me throughout my life, teaching me stillness at 2, that we are one and love is all there is at 21, my mission at 42 to be one of the heart whisperers breathing out heart wisdom consciousness being breathed through me…

Named Joyous July 31 PEACE is... Letting Go

so, this holy fool went sauntering (and, i do mean sauntering, definitely a pilgrimage to holy land) off this weekend to be with and in a communion of healing… i did not see the profundity and breadth of this experience in advance, how could i? how beautiful its unfolding will be balancing the gargantuan reserve of resolve and courage and sheroism to be awake, to stay awake, fully present in each moment… i come home tonight fully spent and celebrating giving myself wholeheartedly in service to the healing, the wholing of all our relations… what a way to complete joyous july, to bless the space between us always…

Named Joyous July 27 Love Always in Impermanence

a day of presence…. contemplating impermanence in our multiiverse where everything is in whirling flux… like the ocean, all is moving and transforming from wave to wave, breath to breath… like the moon, we cycle again and again through phases, always changing from moment to moment…

diving deeper into the wondering, we enter the stillpoint trusting the center will hold…. breathe into the center and surrender to great mother who cradles us like a newborn while we rock gently back and forth like the waves feeling the support of the ocean of love, home to grandmother who loves us so…

smiling that in a world that is always turning, in a world where the constant is change, always love remains…
