Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 302 – 10/14/2021

the rain spirits have returned to the pacific northwest with a thousand thousand fold water drops falling from the vast skysea to kiss our earth mother, grow our trees, flowing love into everything, everything dancing in rhythm with the falling rain, the clean-sing rain, the healing/wholing waters of dan-sing rainbow mystery with our one heart resonating at the frequency of universal/multiversal cosmic love…

the rain spirits are whispering to re-member… on this very day six years ago following a devastating injury to my fire eye, the high priests of eye healing shared how eyes heal delicately and do not form scar tissue over the wound as that would block out light from entering and so no seeing on the outside… how mind blowing to real-eyes that our eyes, like everything else, know exactly how to heal… this re-membering transports me right to beloved rumi…

“the wound is the place where the light enters you…”

and to Leonard Cohen…

“There is a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in.”

these words move us right into Leonard’s song, “Come Healing” completing the timeless wisdom shared today from the rain spirits and rumi and the high priests on the journey into wholeness we share with all our relatives…

O, gather up the brokenness
Bring it to me now
The fragrance of those promises
You never dared to vow

The splinters that you carried
The cross you left behind
Come healing of the body
Come healing of the mind

And let the heavens hear it
The penitential hymn
Come healing of the spirit
Come healing of the limb

Behold the gates of mercy
In arbitrary space
And none of us deserving
Of cruelty or the grace

O, solitude of longing
Where love has been confined
Come healing of the body
Come healing of the mind

O, see the darkness yielding That tore the light apart
Come healing of the reason
Come healing of the heart

O, troubled dust concealing
An undivided love
The heart beneath is teaching
To the broken heart above

And let the heavens falter
Let the earth proclaim
Come healing of the altar
Come healing of the name

O, longing of the branches
To lift the little bud
O, longing of the arteries
To purify the blood

And let the heavens hear it
The penitential hymn
Come healing of the spirit
Come healing of the limb

O let the heavens hear it
The penitential hymn
Come healing of the spirit
Come healing of the limb
