Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 286 – 9/27/2020

on this day of celebrating the astonishing light of being, let’s come together to conspire, to breathe together and be the transformation… with this breath, open your wings being peace… and with the next breath spread your wings flying peace around the world… what a beautiful sight – a cosmos of peace built on justice and guided by love…

in 2013, the UN General Assembly (UNGA) declared September 26 to be the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons with the aims of the day being to enhance public awareness about the threat posed to all beings by nuclear weapons and the necessity for their total elimination… inspired by an incident that unfolded on September 26, 1983 at a Soviet nuclear early warning facility that nearly led to a nuclear war by accident, thanks be for the being who saved the world and now it is our turn…

“Today the danger of some sort of a nuclear catastrophe is greater than it was during the Cold War and most people are blissfully unaware of this danger…Because we don’t understand the dangers, we make no serious attempt to repair the hostility between the United States and Russia. And so we are allowing ourselves to sleepwalk into another catastrophe. We must wake up.”

~William J. Perry, former U.S. Secretary of Defense~
