Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 217 – 7/21/2021

“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.”

~  Meister Eckhart ~

~

“Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.”

~ the Dalai Lama ~

~

the cosmic hum reminds me daily, of late, about the importance of the only practice we need – repeating the name of the only one of us here – which brings us into true nature polishing the mirror of our one heart… after a decade of running a continuous chant of thank you, thank you, thank you, today, on the eve of the feast of one of our consciousness carriers of great mother energy, Mary Magdalene, i real-eyes the name for me is thank you and the name thank you has been polishing the mirror of our one cosmic heart for some 3650ish days cataly-sing a flowering field of miracles and holy synchronicities as more and more of the clouded surface has been windexed to reveal the central sun that always shines…

let us join together in this moment of eternity as peacemakers of the earth mother/sky father following the teachings of the Great Peacemaker who a thousand years ago came across the Great Lake Onondaga, now known as Lake Ontario, in a stone canoe to the warring six-nation confederacy of the Haudenosaunee… gradually, his words and actions won the people over, they accepted the Great Law of Peace, buried their weapons (hatchets) under the Peace Tree by Lake Onondaga and formed councils for making wise choices together… let us take this moment of eternity as still does the Onondaga Nation, whose name means Keepers of the Central Fire, to enter sacred space with some quintessential prayers of thanksgiving, singing of the name bringing us into the oneness we are…

THE PEOPLE
Today we have gathered and we see that the cycles of life continue. We have been given the duty to live in balance and harmony with each other and all living things. So now, we give greetings and thanks to each other as people.
Now our minds are one.
~
THE EARTH MOTHER
We are all thankful to our mother, the Earth, for she gives us all that we need for life. She supports our feet as we walk about upon her. It gives us joy that she continues to care for us as she has from the beginning of time. To our mother, we send greetings and thanks.
Now our minds are one.
~
THE ENLIGHTENED TEACHERS
We gather our minds to greet and thank the enlightened teachers who have come to help throughout the ages. When we forget how to live in harmony, they remind us of the way we were instructed to live as people. We send greetings and thanks to these caring teachers.
Now our minds are one.
~
THE CREATOR
Now we turn our thoughts to the creator, or great spirit, and send greetings and thanks for all the gifts of creation. Everything we need to live a good life is here on this Mother Earth. For all the love that is still around us, we gather our minds together as one and send our choicest words of greetings and thanks to the creator.
Now our minds are one.
~
CLOSING WORDS
We have now arrived at the place where we end our words. of all the things we have named, it was not our intention to leave anything out. If something was forgotten, we leave it to each individual to send such greetings and thanks in their own way.
Now our minds are one.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 216 – 7/20/2021

only traveling on the path with heart, what a way to live

looking, looking breathlessly, living from the heart

in a field of unity grounded in equanimity…

drawing down the energy of the waxing moon in cancer, the true home moon, of the great mother, are you feeling her call to authenticity, being the true self, living from the heart? when we listen deeply, we can here pachamama whispering the song of the earth… come home to the heart, return to me and live in a sacred way in harmony… her invitation is to sync deeply into love, the most expansive and deepest vibrational frequency of the cosmos… travel into the here and now, the dwelling place of boundless love where nothing else is happening, only love is real… buen camino, mutantneers!

there’s an old prophecy declaring the hypocrisy and lies of our time call forth the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse – famine, sickness, war and death… fortunately, there is redemption coming from a woman, a goddess and earthmother calling to everyone, especially women, to rise up and give birth to the new for the goddess always brings forth the next revolution…

may we rise to the call and venture deep down into the heart to re-imagine and re-weave a cosmos of courage, of heart, of boundless love…

A Map to the Next World

In the last days of the fourth world I wished to make a map for
those who would climb through the hole in the sky.

My only tools were the desires of humans as they emerged
from the killing fields, from the bedrooms and the kitchens.

For the soul is a wanderer with many hands and feet.

The map must be of sand and can’t be read by ordinary light. It
must carry fire to the next tribal town, for renewal of spirit.

In the legend are instructions on the language of the land, how it
was we forgot to acknowledge the gift, as if we were not in it or of it.

Take note of the proliferation of supermarkets and malls, the
altars of money. They best describe the detour from grace.

Keep track of the errors of our forgetfulness; the fog steals our
children while we sleep.

Flowers of rage spring up in the depression. Monsters are born
there of nuclear anger.

Trees of ashes wave good-bye to good-bye and the map appears to
disappear.

We no longer know the names of the birds here, how to speak to
them by their personal names.

Once we knew everything in this lush promise.

What I am telling you is real and is printed in a warning on the
map. Our forgetfulness stalks us, walks the earth behind us, leav-
ing a trail of paper diapers, needles, and wasted blood.

An imperfect map will have to do, little one.

The place of entry is the sea of your mother’s blood, your father’s
small death as he longs to know himself in another.

There is no exit.

The map can be interpreted through the wall of the intestine—a
spiral on the road of knowledge.

You will travel through the membrane of death, smell cooking
from the encampment where our relatives make a feast of fresh
deer meat and corn soup, in the Milky Way.

They have never left us; we abandoned them for science.

And when you take your next breath as we enter the fifth world
there will be no X, no guidebook with words you can carry.

You will have to navigate by your mother’s voice, renew the song
she is singing.

Fresh courage glimmers from planets.

And lights the map printed with the blood of history, a map you
will have to know by your intention, by the language of suns.

When you emerge note the tracks of the monster slayers where they
entered the cities of artificial light and killed what was killing us.

You will see red cliffs. They are the heart, contain the ladder.

A white deer will greet you when the last human climbs from the
destruction.

Remember the hole of shame marking the act of abandoning our
tribal grounds.

We were never perfect.

Yet, the journey we make together is perfect on this earth who was
once a star and made the same mistakes as humans.

We might make them again, she said.

Crucial to finding the way is this: there is no beginning or end.

You must make your own map.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 215 – 7/19/2021

173 years ago on this very day, about 300 people met for two hot days and candlelit evenings in the Wesleyan Chapel in Seneca Falls, New York setting the stage for the women’s suffrage movement… in the first formal women’s rights convention ever held in the United States, 68 women supported by 32 men who signed a separate list “in favor of the movement” declared:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men and women are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that to secure these rights governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

although the convention became best known for its demand for women’s right to vote, the Declaration of Sentiments covered a wide agenda and as the first women’s rights convention, Seneca Falls initiated the organized women’s rights movement in the United States…

the pioneers of women’s rights—drawn from Quaker, Congregationalist, and Methodist backgrounds—provided support for the emerging formal women’s rights movement in the 1840s… it was the hurriedly organized Seneca Falls convention, the brainchild of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, that brought national attention to the issue of women’s rights… touching off a major national debate, newspapers across the country picked up the story with press reaction to the convention varying widely… one editor thought it was “a most insane and ludicrous farce” while the Lowell Courier feared women’s equality because “the lords must wash the dishes, scour up, be put to the tub, handle the broom, darn stockings…” some editors, however, praised the meeting with the St. Louis Daily Reveille declaring that “the flag of independence has been hoisted for the second time on this side of the Atlantic…”

in a speech in 1888 before the International Council of Women in Washington, D.C., Frederick Douglass recalls the women at the Seneca Falls convention where he was one of the very few men who attended:

“The women who have thus far carried on this agitation have already embodied and illustrated Theodore Parker’s three grades of human greatness. The first is greatness in executive and administrative ability; second, greatness in the ability to organize; and, thirdly, in the ability to discover truth. Wherever these three elements of power are combined in any movement, there is a reasonable ground to believe in its final success; and these elements of power have been manifest in the women who have had the movement in hand from the beginning. They are seen in the order which has characterized the proceedings of this Council. They are seen in the depth and are seen in the fervid eloquence and downright earnestness with which women advocate their cause. They are seen in the profound attention with which woman is heard in her own behalf. They are seen in the steady growth and onward march of the movement, and they will be seen in the final triumph of woman’s cause, not only in this country, but throughout the world.”

finally, the organizers of the convention were profoundly influenced and inspired by the very powerful women of the Haudenosaunee who to this day have a very powerful role in the running of and leadership in their communities; in large part we owe a great gratitude to these women who taught us and showed us the way…

let’s close our sacred space of ceremony invoking :The Daily Essene Communion For TUESDAY…

THE DEEPENING: The heavens smile and the earth celebrates as the children of light sing the songs of life; and the bodily world of thy Earthly Mother, and the celestial worlds of thy Heavenly Father, give praise to the joyous voices.

MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of JOY I invoke thee. I come before you with the voice of the wind for thy Holy Law is within me. Descend upon this Earth and spread your blessings to ALL living beings. Touch those who walk in darkness so they may see the light, and partake in the Holy Communions, and eat of the fruits of your blessings; And as each morning comes, I shall embrace thee.

MEDITATION: Meditate on the image of a newborn child, seeing the world for the very first time. Experience the newness, be the child.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with Humanity, Social Peace.
Let thy love be as the Sun which shines on ALL creatures of the earth, and does not favor even one blade of grass for another.

EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of POWER I invoke thee; descend upon my body and help me to direct my thoughts, my actions, my words and my deeds; And as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee.

THE BLESSING: Within me lives the meditating Monk. The builder of the temple. In this season of inner reflection I shall discover the center for I am guided by the light from within.

The Holy Temple can be built only with the ancient Communions. Those which are spoken, those which are thought, and those which are lived. ~Gospel of the Essenes

To make the human heart a temple, the soul an alter, and the mind a priest. These were the missions of Jesus the Nazarene. ~Kahlil Gibran

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 214 – 7/18/2021

the phrase, the center cannot hold, has been flowing through me continuously for days in the light of the steady stream of tragic loss by natural disasters and violent actions… the center is not holding, as all around us we see in the outer world breakdown, collapse and disorder… we feel an undercurrent of insecurity leading to anxiety, many of us feel numb, some feel rage, what are we to do?

i am reminded of the other side of that coin through the old Irish myth of when the center falls apart, the pieces don’t disappear, they move to the margins, to the edge of the circle… as pieces of the center now living on the edge, our task is to pick up a thread and weave our way back to the center, back to source, to great spirit along the road less traveled, the pathless path and when enough of us do this, a new world, a new consciousness is created, a world where we live in peace built by justice and informed by our inner journey into our one heart where we rest in the stillness and listen for the voice of wisdom…

and when we return to the world to share what has been revealed, we make our sacred contribution in co-creating a world that works for all… no one being can solve our problems, it’s going to take our global village transforming consciousness with enough of us opening to source, finding our thread, our peace of the pie, what’s ours to do and then our coming back together to weave a center that holds where we stand together solidly built on a transformed consciousness with a solid foundation of unity…

Eagle Poem

To pray you open your whole self
To sky, to earth, to sun, to moon
To one whole voice that is you.
And know there is more
That you can’t see, can’t hear
Can’t know except in moments
Steadily growing, and in languages
That aren’t always sound but other
Circles of motion.
Like eagle that Sunday morning
Over Salt River. Circles in blue sky
In wind, swept our hearts clean
With sacred wings.
We see you, see ourselves and know
That we must take the utmost care
And kindness in all things.
Breathe in, knowing we are made of
All this, and breathe, knowing
We are truly blessed because we
Were born, and die soon, within a
True circle of motion,
Like eagle rounding out the morning
Inside us.
We pray that it will be done
In beauty.
In beauty.

let’s close our sacred space invoking :The Daily Essene Communion For MONDAY

THE DEEPENING: God so made life and ALL living things that they, by the living word, would teach the laws of the Heavenly Father and the Earthly Mother, to the sons and the daughters of men.

MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of LIFE I invoke thee; for in everything that has life is the Holy Law written. In the grass, in the flowers, in the forest and in the trees. In the animals, and the birds and the fishes in the seas. All life speaks to us and if we listen, we can understand the tongue and the will of the living God

MEDITATION: The life-force within me cries out. That which I am longs for experience and to know and to understand. May I gain the wisdom of the connectedness with all that there is, for I am the one, and I am the many.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with CULTURE. Though thy brothers be of different origin, we all do toil in the vineyard of the Earthly Mother. We all lift our voices in praise of the Heavenly Father, and together, we all break the bread of wisdom and share in the Holy feast.

EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of PEACE I invoke thee. Cast your blessings to the peoples of the world and to all that are weary or do suffer. And as long as the sun and moon endure, and throughout all the generations to come, may peace prevail over the earth as the waters cover the sea. And in remembrance of thee, I shall ever greet my brother by your name, and as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee. Peace be with you.

THE BLESSING: The whispering of a flame invokes the peace within me. Reminding me of my task and of my journey. I have been given a peaceful heart and my path is before me. I joyfully take up the task, to reach the center, and to realize that I am a channel for peace.

The Communions are a bridge between man and the angels. And like a bridge, can only be built with patience. Yea, even as a bridge over a river is fashioned stone by stone, as they are found by the water’s edge. ~Gospel of the Essenes

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 213 – 7/17/2021

three years ago on this very day, my body is re-membering the deep outer world plunge embarked upon, a pilgrimage of peacemaking coming from a space of not knowing, bearing witness to whatever arises and taking action… re-uniting with the land whose pain had pulled me profoundly into the silence of the heart some thirty years previously, today, on this day of sabbath, i take you with me – how could i not for there is only one of us here – on another plunge which from the outer view looks so different but from the inner view, it’s a very similar pilgrimage albeit this one has an ironic twist… and i so carry you with me in our one heart as i venture off into the unknown… happy trails to us all….

in a field of love may we walk
all day long may we walk
through the turnings may
we walk
on the trail of pollen
may we walk
with love in our one heart may we walk
with  love before us may we walk
with love behind us may we walk
with love above us may we walk
with love all around us may we
walk
in any age, wandering on a trail of
love, lively, may we walk
in any age, wandering on a trail of
love, living again, may we walk
it is beginning in love
it is deepening in love

yes, this deep plunge calls for 1000% devocean to wholeheartedly being the transformation we see for the cosmos both personally and collectively which, of course, are the same…

thank you for tuning into our inner tinkerbell and joining in this healing chant used in the chinese medicineless hospital repeating, “already healed, already healed, already healed…” for we are a caravan always moving toward our destiny of real-eye-sing we are whole, one body dwelling in the field of always being and becoming love…

let’s close our sacred space invoking the wholing of regeneration, the energy of the cosmos with:

The Essene Daily Communion For SUNDAY

THE DEEPENING: Spend time outside. Hold in your hands a stone and explore it intently. Know that the Earth and all that dwells therein is but a reflection of the Heavenly Father.

MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of EARTH I invoke thee; for the Lord hath created this world to be a garden, where the magic of herbs and the secrets of plants nourish and heal the bodies of men. And as I regenerate my body, I regenerate my soul, and as each morning comes, I shall embrace thee.

MEDITATION: I feel my body become one with the earth. From the richness of the soil springs the fruits that you share…… and I am the rock. My center belongs to that which was kindled long ago. Bring that consciousness back to me now.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with the EARTHLY MOTHER:
Blessed is the Child of Light who knoweth the Earthly Mother and brings peace unto her. Know that thy Mother is in thee and thou art in her, for she is the giver of life.

EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of CREATIVE WORK I invoke thee; for he who walks with the Angel of work has within him a field always fertile, where healing herbs and beautiful flowers blossom and grow. The mind that is idle is full of the weeds of discontentment, but he who has found his task shall not be in want of other blessings. And as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee.

THE BLESSING: The table in my house is full and I have much to share. I gather in the fruits of my labors. I work with the talents I have. In the labor of right livelihood, I find the greatest joys of life, and my cupboard overflows with its blessings.

To lift your eyes to heaven when all men’s eyes are on the ground, is not easy. To worship at the feet of the angels when all men worship only fame and riches, is not easy. But the most difficult of all is to think the thoughts of the angels, to speak the words of the angels, and to do as the angels do.
~Gospel of the Essenes~

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 212 – 7/16/2021

there’s so much to say in this moment of eternity and i want to begin with noting today is the 159th birthday of unsung hero and pioneering anti-lynching crusader Ida B. Wells who challenged the media to tell Black truths and innovated practices that define the field of investigative journalism to this day… by putting her life on the line to count, investigate and report lynchings in America when white-owned media refused to tell these stories, she destroyed the racist narrative that lynching victims were criminals and brought to light the truth: that lynchings were often used as retaliation against Black people who had dared to start businesses, own property and build wealth…

also, on this day, seventy six years ago, the world was forever changed when the U.S. detonated the world’s first nuclear device in the Trinity nuclear test… conducted in the desert of southern New Mexico, it opened another chapter in our morally corrupt, racist, and lethal legacy with New Mexico residents not being warned before the Trinity blast, informed of health hazards afterward, nor evacuated before, during, or after the test… exposure rates in public areas from the world’s first nuclear explosion were measured at levels 10,000 times higher than currently allowed… another legacy is that the downwinders of Trinity were largely impoverished agricultural families, mostly Hispanic and Native and even though it was considered one of the dirtiest U.S. nuclear tests, for more than seventy years radiation exposure from inhalation and ingestion of water and food contaminated by the Trinity test fallout was never assessed… now we now know that infant death rates increased by over 20% percent in areas downwind beginning in the very same month of the test since in 2010 the CDC finally admitted that risks to newborns were especially heightened as “residents reported that fallout ‘snowed down’ for days after the blast, most had dairy cows and most collected rainwater off their roofs for drinking.”

it seems so very right noting all of the above for us to come together in this moment and join in a practice of peace, a method for generating love and compassion for all… what follows is Pema’s teaching on bodhicitta practice… may we open our hearts and be loving compassion…

The best way to begin this practice is by thinking of a person whose suffering you feel strongly and whose happiness is very important to you. This could be someone you know or have known, or someone you’ve seen on the street or read about in the newspaper. The thought of certain people naturally and easily awakens bodhicitta in us: we care about them and we don’t want them to suffer. Think of such a person and, whether you feel love, gratitude or compassion for them, say, “May they be free of suffering and the root of suffering; may they enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.”

There are two aspects of working with bodhicitta, both of equal importance: one is connecting with the flow of bodhicitta we already feel, and the other is being awake to where that flow is blocked. So you can do this practice not only thinking of people you care about, but also visualizing people you don’t like. It’s important to have an unbiased, compassionate attitude toward whatever is arising.

Think, now, of an area of the world that’s in great turmoil—an area where you know people and animals are suffering a lot. When you’ve chosen the place, think of the men there, and say, “May all the men in that place be free of suffering and the root of suffering; may they enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.” Give yourself time. Take a few minutes.

Then think of all the women in that place, and wish that they too could be free of suffering and the root of suffering, and that they could enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Then think of all of the children in that place and wish that they be free of suffering and the root of suffering, and that they might enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Finally, think of all the animals in that place—the mammals, the birds, the fish, the insects and all the other animals—and wish that they be free of suffering and the root of suffering; that they might enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Imagine, then, all the men in the world who are starving to death right now, and wish that they could be free of suffering and the root of suffering; that they could enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Then imagine all the women in the world who are starving, and wish that every one of them—starving all over the world at this very moment—could be free of suffering and the root of suffering, and that they could enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Imagine all the children who are starving at this very moment all over the earth, and wish that they, too, could be free of suffering and the root of suffering; that they could enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Then imagine all the animals in the world who are starving to death right now, and wish that every one of them, all over the planet, could be free of suffering and the root of suffering; that they could enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

Then bring to mind all the men on this planet—whether you respect them, feel neutral toward them or consider them bad people—and wish that they could be free of suffering and the root of suffering. Wish that they could enjoy happiness and the root of happiness. Because if all of the men on this planet could be free of the root of suffering and could enjoy the root of happiness—if they could be free of all the self-absorption that causes so much pain—we would be at peace.

Do the same with all the women on the earth—whether you like them or dislike them or feel neutral about them—and wish that they too could all be free of suffering. If all the women on the earth could be free of the root of suffering and enjoy the root of happiness, the world would be at peace.

Now do the same with all the children on the earth—whether you like them, dislike them or feel neutral about them. Wish that they could all be free of suffering. Because if all the children on the earth could be free of the root of suffering and could enjoy the root of happiness, the world would be at peace.

Finally, do the same with all the animals on the earth—whether you like them, don’t like them or feel neutral about them—and wish that they too could all be free of suffering. If all the animals on the earth could be free of the root of suffering and enjoy the root of happiness, the world would be at peace.

sometimes when we do this kind of bodhicitta practice, we touch on people who immediately awaken warm feelings in us, other times, though, we just feel numb and then there are the times when we contact the hardness of our heart… noticing this shows us when we’re open and when we’re closed… notice all of these things with compassion and lovingkindness towards ourselves as the more we’re able to feel tenderness towards ourselves, the more easily it flows to others.” as the airlines say, put your oxygen mask on first…

~

and now let’s close our sacred ceremony with The Essene Daily Communion For SATURDAY
The Sabbath (Ends at Sundown)

THE DEEPENING: Fasting is the first principle. Fast from negative thoughts, words and deeds. Fast from ego, pride and desire. Fast from all physical ills and Ye shall behold the strength and the wisdom of the spirit.

MORNING COMMUNION: The EARTHLY MOTHER and I are one. Blessed is the child who knoweth the Earthy Mother, for she is the provider and the sustainer of life. Her harvest becomes thy body, her waters become thy blood, her winds will carry thy spirit, and as each morning comes, I shall embrace her.

MEDITATION: The richness of the Mother’s garden surrounds us. The forces of nature toil unendingly for the benefit of all. For this we are blessed. The kingdom which guides and nurtures the plants and the forests is yet another manifestation of the Mother’s love for us, and we within this kingdom must return her blessings with respect, with caring, and with love.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with the HEAVENLY FATHER:
Ye that love thy Heavenly Father do Ye then his bidding; Walk Ye with his Holy Angels and you shall find peace within his Holy Law.

EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of ETERNAL LIFE I invoke thee; descend upon my soul and bless my spirit with the splendor and the knowledge of eternal life. And as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee.

THE BLESSING: The food upon my table shares its life with me. And as this life nourishes my body, one day my body shall nourish this earth. And until that time shall pass, I shall return her blessings with kindness, with respect, and with my love.

Verily I say unto you, if in the daytime the Earthly Mother holds you in her arms, and in the night the Heavenly Father breathes his kiss upon you, then will the Sons of Men become the Sons of God. ~Gospel of Peace of Jesus Christ

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 211 – 7/15/2021

a day of tahoma, the native name for beloved mt rainier pictured above… a day of coming to home to the heart and trusting in this wild journey… trusting in it’s rhythm which dances to the beat of the divine drummer of our one heart… following the rhythm deep within to the silent stillpoint where our most profound purpose lies in the ground of being calling us to nurture this trust daily… calling us to offer full presence, lovingkindness, compassion and generosity which opens the portal to a freedom of floating in buoyant sea and vibrating in the river below the river of joy frequency knowing what is, trusting what will be…

what a delicious day of feeling the kindness of flowing with the natural rhythms of the journey, of injoying this moment of life, of polishing the mirror, of clean-sing the smudges, the filters, the biases that cloud our seeing true reality, of opening as widely and deeply to the all that is…

i’d love your joining me for a moment out in the field, the quantum field of pure possibility, out beyond right and wrong, good and bad into the sacred space of resonance, the flowering field of more and more joy as we let go to flow, relaxing more and more into surrendering into the riptide deepening us into the sea of love energy, home sweet home…

and when you’re ready, let’s close this sacred ceremony space with Friday’s Essene Communion with a few introductory remarks if you are like i am and new to these words, to this communitas and i’ll count on the long-standing devotees to add their experiences if and when called to do so…

as i understand it, these communions go back to Moses and Mt Sinai when Moses came down and gave the 10 commandments tablet to all the people and the other tablet of the communions to the Essenes enabling them to understand how we are surrounded by forces, or angels, from the visible world of nature and the invisible cosmic world with the communions showing how each of these forces is utilized in our body and consciousness… as with everything, i translate the language into one resonant with mine entering into a dialogue that percolates throughout all my wild cells until it becomes a nectar of truth absorbed in every cell, embodied in consciousness…

Essene Daily Communion For Friday
Sabbath and Fasting begins at sundown.

THE DEEPENING: In the gentle breeze of the forests and in the winds of the fields, thou shalt find the Angel of Air. Breath long and deeply, for the rhythm of thy breath is the key of knowledge which will unlock the secrets of the Holy Law.

MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of AIR, I invoke thee; for no man may come before the face of God whom the Angel of Air hath not passed. For thy body must breath the air of the Earthly Mother before thy spirit may breath the Holy Law of the Heavenly Father. And as each morning comes, I shall embrace thee.

MEDITATION: This morning brings a different breeze. The winds of inner change and reflection. These winds blow strong as I unfurl my sails and set a course for yet another journey. May the wind be my guide, and the calmness of the truth lead my way.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with the BODY:
As thou movest the air with thy breath, movest thy body with thy soul. Eat of the blessed fruits from the Earthly Mother, and walk in the light of the Holy Law; for he who hath found peace with the body, hath built a holy temple wherein may forever dwell the spirit of God.

EVENING COMMUNION: The HEAVENLY FATHER and I are One; Thou hast made known unto me the deepest of mysteries. By thy fourteen fruits of the Tree of Life thou hast directed my heart, and guided my steps, that I may walk in your presence and dwell eternally in the essence of the divine.

THE BLESSING: What is man, that thou art be so mindful of he? Thou hast made a covenant with the Children of Light, and thou hast given unto all the Holy Law. To some it has been lost, and to some it is forgotten. But to some it is lived, and those whom walk with thy Holy Angels shall dwell forever in the kingdoms of God.

Hear me, Sons of Light, for I will impart to you the gift of tongues, that by speaking to your Earthly Mother in the morning, and to your Heavenly Father in the evening, you may go closer and closer to oneness with the kingdoms of earth and heaven, that oneness for which the Son of Man is destined from the beginning of the times.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 210 – 7/14/2021

welcome to a day honoring so much richness… it is Wheel-Turning Day, Chokhor Duchen, commemorating the anniversary of Shakyamuni Buddha’s first teaching seven weeks after his enlightenment once Indra and Brahma offered him a dharma wheel and a conch shell… accepting, Shakyamuni Buddha turned the Wheel of Dharma for the first time at Sarnath in his teaching on the four noble truths… also, it’s Pema’s 85th year of continuation and Bastille Day and Universal Harmony Day, all four days perfect for celebrating our interbeing as vessels of great mystery shining forth luminously, bastions of living awakened, joyously, freely and harmoniously…

i’ll share now a brief meditation from Parker Palmer on life on the Möbius strip…

~

“The curious object pictured is a Möbius strip. If you take your index finger and trace what seems to be the outside surface, you suddenly find yourself on what seems to be the inside surface. Continue along what seems to be the inside surface, and you suddenly find yourself on what seems to be the outside surface.

I need to keep saying ‘what seems to be’ because the Möbius strip has only one side! What look like its inner and outer surfaces flow into each other seamlessly, co-creating the whole. The first time I saw a Möbius strip, I thought, ‘amazing! That’s exactly how life works!’

Whatever is inside of us continually flows outward, helping to form or deform the world — depending on what we send out. Whatever is outside us continually flows inward, helping to form or deform us — depending on how we take it in. Bit by bit, we and our world are endlessly re-made in this eternal inner-outer exchange.

Much depends on what we choose to put into the world from within ourselves — and much depends on how we handle what the world sends back to us. As Thomas Merton said:

‘We don’t have to adjust to the world. We can adjust the world.’

Here’s the question I’ve been asking myself ever since I understood that we live our lives on the Möbius strip:

How can I make more life-giving choices about what to put into the world and how to deal with what the world sends back — choices that might bring new life to me, to others, and to the world we share?”

yes to there’s only one of us here, all that is confluing, flowing together, dancing into the stillpoint, dancing out from the stillpoint seamlessly always connected, always interbeing, always flowing in the seasky of love energy empowering luminosity and shining the light so brightly that all our relations see the way home, home to our one heart… and, yes, to the beautiful question that we are all being asked to live in this moment of great turning…

with a smile mirroring our heart of joy, let’s close this part of the sacred space of ceremony with the blessing of the Essene Daily Communion for Thursday:

THE DEEPENING: Hold a bowl of water as you commune with the Angel this day. When finished drink the water in deep reverence and feel it, like a rushing current of a river, fill your body and soul.

MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of WATER I invoke thee; whether lake or stream or water of the well, enter my body and become my blood. Give unto me the gift that sustains all life. Your blessings hath cleansed my spirit and quenched the thirst of my soul and as each morning comes, I shall embrace thee.

MEDITATION: As the wave of natures glory reaches its crest and then flows on, I have gained perspective. The waters that rage in the rivers and the rains that fall from the sky are the same as the blood that flows in the veins of my body. The Earth and I are one.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with the MIND.
Evil thoughts cannot abide in a mind filled with the Light of the Law. He who hath found Peace with the Mind, hath learned to soar beyond the realm of the Angels; For I tell you truly, the lightning that cleaves the mighty oak, or the quaking that opens great cracks in the earth are as the play of children compared with the powers of thought.

EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of WISDOM I invoke thee; for only through the wisdom of the holy law doth the Angels guide the children of light. Descend upon my thinking body and enlighten my thoughts, my mind, my intentions and my deeds. To follow the holy law is the root of your blessings, and as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee.

THE BLESSING: When at first a fledgling bird tries to fly, his wings cannot support him, and he falls again and again to the earth. But he tries again and one day he soars aloft, leaving the earth and his nest far behind. And so is it with the thoughts and intentions of the Sons of Men. The longer one walks with the angels and keeps their Law, the stronger ones thoughts shall become in Holy Wisdom. The day will come when the thoughts of men will overcome even the kingdom of death and then shall he soar to everlasting life in the kingdoms of the Heavenly Father.

There is no greater power in heaven and earth than in the thoughts of the Son of Man. ~The Isaiah Effect

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 209 – 7/13/2021

deep within our ancient bloodstream

may we listen for the lost chords’ echoes

of a mystical, ethereal consciousness

where we all swim in an ocean of flow

~

thank you river of life for teaching us that WAre The Eternal Radiance, that Water is Life, that water renews life and is the womb of the birth-death-rebirth cycle we are always flowing in… what a moon of baptism, a moonth of celebrating our plunging into rainbow mystery, into the deeps of the ocean of being, the boundless spaciousness of the stillpoint where there’s only the dance…. and, we are in such solidarity with the water protectors who have accomplished what was considered impossible and are at it again on Line 3 in Minnesota by the Shell River listening to the inner call as to how to contribute to the continuance of the world – what a mighty contribution all water protectors make as Enbridge builds Line 3 through Anishinaabe treaty land and 20+ river crossings including the Mississippi Headwaters and we continue to stand strong… we will not stand by and watch a fossil fuel corporation fill their pockets by poisoning our water and producing oil we don’t need… we follow the pathless path and rise like the water protectors of Standing Rock living the sacred mini wiconi way…

All meaningful change requires a genuine surrender. Yet, to surrender does not simply mean to give up; more to give up one’s usual self and allow something other to enter and redeem the lesser sense of self. In surrendering, we fall to the bottom of our arguments and seek to touch the origin of our lives again. Only then can we see as we were meant to see, from the depth of the psyche where the genius resides, where the seeds of wisdom and purpose were planted before we were born. We fall in order to find what has secretly carried us all along and would now become consciously known.

In genuine surrender, we arrive at a silent place, a still point within the turmoil of life; the place of baptism and renewal. Baptism is one of the oldest rituals of humanity, one that involves an immersion in the waters of life in order to revive the vitality of one’s being. Baptism requires a symbolic return to the watery womb of the world, a return to primordial origins in order to briefly dissolve the fixations of the personality and renew one’s spirit for life. Such an immersion requires a surrender that can feel like death. In a sense, part of us does die as we let go of our current form of “halfness” in order to feel whole. Baptism repeats the archetypal pattern of birth, death, and rebirth as a “little death” is needed for a greater rejuvenation and resurgence to occur…

Any meaningful descent can be felt by the soul as an attempt to renew oneself by touching the origins of life again. The ego fears that it will die or disappear in the waters of the deep unconscious. But the soul knows that any descent in life can become a potential baptism that will return us to the full potential at the origin of our lives—back there at the beginning; down there near the source, where the underlying unity of life waits to be found and be touched again…

Something ancient in us bends us toward the origins of the whole thing. We either drown in the splits and confusions of our lives, or we surrender to something greater than ourselves. The water of our deepest troubles is also the water of our own solution. In surrender, we descend down to the bottom of it and back to the beginning of it; down into what is divided in order to get back to the wholeness before the split, all healing seeks what alone can truly unify our spirit.”

~ Michael Meade, “The Genius Myth” ~

may we be baptized to live wholeheartedly as if this moment is the last in this incarnation… to love with wild abandon… to laugh from a deep well of joy…

with a smile mirroring our heart of joy, let’s close this part of the sacred space of ceremony with the blessing we began reciting 40 days ago into the sacred fire within, the inner light of great spirit residing in all our relatives: may this day be blessed with gifts, lessons, understanding and friends… may our energy be a gift to all we meet… let us be centered, healing and open facing the day with courage, kindness, insight and compassion… may we honor this day…

with these 40 days coming to an end, there’s a devotion i want to add to my/our daily bhakti practice which syncs perfectly with our pilgrimage into the desert of the heart… the Essene Communions… as i post so into the night and by the time many see this message, it is the next day, i’ll go ahead and offer now the Essene Daily Communion for Wednesday:

THE DEEPENING: Let thy love be as the Angel of Sun which shines upon ALL the creatures of the earth, and does not favor even one blade of grass for another.

MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of SUN I invoke thee. Thou art the fountain of light that warms our days and lights our path. It is by your glory that man is born to live the words of the Holy Law, and as each morning comes, I shall embrace thee.

MEDITATION: This day brings to the world the divine blessings of the glorious Sun and its radiant gifts of warmth and of light. How mindlessly we go about our days shielded from your nourishment and unable the receive your blessed gifts. Without fail, I shall find time this day to take the gift of your light into my soul, so that my own light may shine unto others with the same power and glory that you have given unto me.

NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with the FAMILY. He who hath found peace with his brother hath entered the kingdom of love and shall experience the Oneness of God. The Heavenly Father knoweth the hearts and the minds of his Children, and their inheritance shall forever be Peace.

EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of LOVE I invoke thee; for love is the first blessing of the Heavenly Father. Yea, it was said in the days of old, thou shalt love thy brother as thyself; and to every one who loveth another is born of the Heavenly Order, and shall drink from the well of eternity. And as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee.

THE BLESSING: The warmth of this day has filled me. How natural it is to feel this blessing and to radiate it back into the world. I look into the eyes of another and see only shared divinity. The boundaries have disappeared. You are no longer a stranger to my heart.

Truly, all must be born again of Sun and of truth, for your body basks in the sunlight of the Earthly Mother, and your spirit basks in the sunlight of truth of the Heavenly Father.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 8 – Day 208 – 7/12/2021

THE INNER IS FOUNDATION OF THE OUTER
THE STILL IS MASTER OF THE RESTLESS
THE SAGE TRAVELS ALL DAY
YET NEVER LEAVES HER INNER TREASURE.”

“Empty yourself of everything.  Let the mind rest at peace.  The ten thousand things rise and fall while the Self watches their return… Returning to the Source is stillness, which is the way of Nature.”

in this joyfull moment of celebrating the astonishing light of being and honoring the movement of great turning calling us to come home to the silence of our one heart, i am re-treating into a dark dream cave where a peaceful stream flows… it is as if i’m in a float tank sans outer sensory stimulation… i re-member five decades ago experiencing a great awakening after real-eye-sing original sin is separation and immediately seeing a clear vision of true reality as the original blessing of oneness… yes, LaoTzu, many thousands and thousands of miles have i traveled in the intervening turns ‘rond the sun yet never leaving this inner treasure…

six years ago on this very day, i am in a parallel rhythm metaphorically floating in the dark in a flotation tank where i begin a lucid cycling journey following behind on my bike the divine child named bliss and her father on their bicycles… i carry my singing bowl in one of my arms and i come to a space where i must stop… here, i begin a wondrous journey exploring open heart u, a dream i’ve been incubating many moons… how much fun to wander these grounds. to meet people who are drawn to be in beloved community, a sangha of the one heart of boundless love where i connect with so many other dog star offspring here on planet in this moment to guide in the opening of inner vision, intuition, to truly serve metaphorically as seeing eye dogs shining light along the pathless path…

holy synchronicity, batwoman! now, 2191 days later i am living the same dream albeit this time around it is in an awakened dreamweave as today begins my 11 days of stopping the world and being wu wei to explore and surrender ever more deeply to open heart u… and like the bat people, i hang upside down in the pose of rebirth as still as pythia, the psychedelphic serpent, whispered to me to be as the way of being one with rainbow mystery… it is done, blessed bee, we are humming our way into eternity…
