Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 310 – 10/21/2020

CONSIDER THE TREES WHICH ALLOW THE BIRDS TO PERCH AND FLY AWAY WITHOUT EITHER INVITING THEM TO STAY OR DESIRING THEM NEVER TO DEPART. IF YOUR HEART CAN BE LIKE THIS, YOU’LL BE NEAR TO THE WAY.

three weeks of of dancing devotedly in the tides of openhearted october brings me deeper into our communal home… our one heart of love and compassion… of burning away more of the need to manage life and witnessing the organic rising up from the ashes life  as free flowing river of joy where…

all is well

and all is well

and all that is, is well

to inspire living like trees and closer to the way of love and compassion, let’s listen to the sage wisdom of an 11th century Tibetan monk…

Eight Verses for Living Love and Compassion

~ Geshi Langtri Thangpa ~

By thinking of all sentient beings
As more precious than a wish-fulfilling jewel
For accomplishing the highest aim,
I will always hold them dear.

Whenever I’m in the company of others,
I will regard myself as the lowest among all,
And from the depths of my heart
Cherish others as supreme.

In my every action, I will watch my mind,
And the moment destructive emotions arise,
I will confront them strongly and avert them,
Since they will hurt both me and others.

Whenever I see ill-natured beings,
Or those overwhelmed by heavy misdeeds or suffering,
I will cherish them as something rare,
As though I’d found a priceless treasure.

Whenever someone out of envy
Does me wrong by attacking or belittling me,
I will take defeat upon myself,
And give the victory to others.

Even when someone I have helped,
Or in whom I have placed great hopes
Mistreats me very unjustly,
I will view that person as a true spiritual teacher.

In brief, directly or indirectly,
I will offer help and happiness to all my mothers,
And secretly take upon myself
All their hurt and suffering.

I will learn to keep all these practices
Untainted by thoughts of the eight worldly concerns.

May I recognize all things as like illusions,
And, without attachment, gain freedom from bondage.

help us to live as generously free from judgement and as openhearted as our tree relatives, the standing talls…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 309/7Years – 2500 Days – 10/20/2020

“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.”
― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

did you awaken as i did to this moment re-membering the universe with every breath is making an irresistible offer? thousand fold thanks, Desiree, and everyone for conspiring to gift me with so many moments of savoring these twenty-five hundred days of  awakening initiation into wedding and weaving the cosmic I AM presence into the lush field of the divine matrix… a day, 20/2020 or 222, truly, of love after love…

“Love After Love

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other’s welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.”

may we all belong to the caravan of re-joy-sing…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 308 – 10/19/2020

these words perfectly reflect feeling echoes that have been arising the last couple of days on the pathless path as reactions leaving me dancing out of rhythm, out of sorts… to come back into rhythm, i connect with source breathing in prana from the earth mother and up through the extended root system into every wild cell and radiating out this golden light breath into father sky and beyond while whispering thank you with every breath to great mystery for providing just what is needed trusting in divine orchestrationand my intention of being open and present to whatever is…

always coming home to the heart, to the sacred gaiatree grove of peace deep within, being present in the moment, in the presence of the beloved… resting in the stillpoint, the unchanging, taking a pregnant pause in a moment of feeling so stretched and uncomfortable right before birth… in this moment of presence, i open more fully to birthing the new… surrendering to true nature, to love and co-creating from this sacred space… YES! to full blooming lotushood…

and, YES! to gathering with you in this flowering field to witness the wonder of the great turning and re-turning, the miracle of being here now in nore and more loving presence, trust, surrender and devocean…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 307 – 10/18/2020

today as we celebrate the astonishing light of being as the sun shines on the hexagram of veneration, i re-member and venerate this being born eight years and a day before my birth… being cancerian crabs, we also share a love of water, today calls me into the field of water crystals to honor his life around the anniversary of his death and seeing that date brings up an image of the occupy movement of  nine years ago inspiring my occupying the abundance of infinite love and gratitude, now known as dwelling in the abundance of infinite love and gratitude…

so many synchronicities, so many interconnections as i gaze on this water crystal called love and thanks and let Dr Emoto’s words on gratitude perfume consciousness…

may we all aspire to being the embodiment of gratitude re-membering the practice of gratitude is one of the most transformative acts making us shining crystals of astonishing light…

thank you, thank you, thank you, Masaru, for opening us to water’s hidden messages…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 306 – 10/17/2020

may it be so… may righteousness be restored… we are in the midst of navaratri, a major hindu festival celebrating nine manifestations of the goddess Durga and honoring the power and grace of divine mother over nine nights and ten days…

whenever i run into some powerful whitewater, it’s good to connect with Durga in her fierce love manifestation, the form that removes darkness and negativity from our lives…

thank you Durga for helping me remain wide-open like the sky, fertile like the earth,  unshakable like a mountain, shining like a flame and lucid like a crystal in the face of  turbulent waters threatening loss of  connection…

thank you Durga for whispering to let it be, you are in flow wherever you go, surely you know there is only flow… a moment of crisis brings us to our knees, a perfect place to re-lease… all illusions of separation transmuted now into the field of unification… returning home to the watery womb of creation, resurrected now from the dark tomb of separation…

thank you dear Durga for bringing good fortune, protection and blessings into the web of life…

may we be as wise Durga who teaches and shows us that we belong to each other helping us realize interdependence, the way of the heart, is the way…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 305 – 10/16/2020

yes, brothers and sisters of the boundless sky sea

this new moon draws us down into deepest inquiry

for us to listen to whom we are to be

children of  venus, of love eternally…

buoyantly floating in equanimity

painting peace across great mystery

listening to the ancestors’ wisdom

aligned with source tuned into cosmic hum…

om shanti shanti shanti om

we are one being walking home

opening to live and let be

caged bird now set free…

~

drawing down the energy of this new moon of cosmic balance, of creative imagination, of divine union of the opposites… weaving a path of equilibrium trusting the wisdom of the heart…

standing in the center, being balance dancing the rhythm of harmony, being equanimity unshakably anchored in  true peace stability…

as we be and become our true nature – water – we are the eternal radiance – we are woven together as one field, one sky out beyond…

in this moment of  cosmic re-ordering, bathe in chords of celestial harmony singing in the buoyant sea and take a moment to seed intentions in the openhearted field of right relationship grounded in the first people’s precepts…

Speak only words of truth.

Speak only of the good qualities of others.

Be a confidant and carry no tales.

Turn aside the veil of anger to release the beauty inherent in all.

Waste not the bounty, and want not.

Honor the light in all. Compare nothing; see all for its suchness.

Respect all life; cut away the ignorance from one’s own heart.

Neither kill nor harbor thoughts of an angry nature, which destroy peace like an arrow.

may we put our ears to the earth to hear the song of rebirth filling every wild cell with mirth…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 304 – 10/15/2020

there seems to be something so potent in the rhythm of the autumnal web of life, especially around the ides, mid-month… as the new moon will be here in about 12 hours as i write this and we will experience the outer dark night just as collectively we are in such a dark night at the close of this era, i feel the imperative to remind us that when we listen deeply we can hear the even more beautiful world breathing and to act like a squirrel by gathering the quintessence and calling in Porcupine Goddess to share an ancient wisdom story illuminating the place i and we find ourselves…

long ago, in the coldest winter ever, many of our relations were dying… we of the porcupine council met and decided we’d nestle together to keep warm and stay alive… alas, we were warm but the quills of our neighbors were wounding us, so we decided to separate from each other to relieve the hurts of living in close quarters… although now we were protected from being wounded, we began to die one by one, alone and frozen cold… faced with our extinction or living as wounded porcupines, we chose wisely – deciding to return to being together… we learned to live with wounds caused by being in close relationship to receive the greater benefit of the warmth that comes from others. this way, we were able to not only survive but also to thrive; to flourish in regenerative cycles organically arising from the harmony sung by the implicate order…

may we be as wise as our porcupine relations real-eye-sing re-membering interdependence, the way of the  openheart, is the way…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 303 – 10/14/2020

just as this beautiful creature began as an independent single imaginal cell and ran to meet and connect with other imaginal cells to form a cluster resonating at the same frequency and becoming an interdependent multiple imaginal cell, may we join together as beloved communion of imagination  to transform and meet these challenging times…

“If you are mindful enough you can see the Buddha in anything, especially in the sangha. The twentieth century was the century of individualism, but we don’t want that anymore. Now we try to live as a community. We want to flow like a river, not a drop of water. The river will surely arrive at the ocean, but a drop of water may evaporate halfway. That’s why it is possible for us to recognize that the presence of the Buddha is the here and now. I think that every step, every breath, every word that is spoken or done in mindfulness—that is the manifestation of the Buddha. Don’t look for the Buddha elsewhere. It is in the art of living mindfully every moment of your life.”

~ Thich Nhat Hanh ~

dancing life wholeheartedly with more and more loving presence, more and more trust and more and more surrender into the river of divine flow and towards all that strengthens our wild wings…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 302 – 10/13/2020

the rain spirits have returned to the pacific northwest so today’s a perfect day to cocoon and sync into the rhythm of the newborn wise old sage who’s joined our sangha and to mirror his peace and all is well energy…

this reverie sparks re-membering Joanna Macy’s recounting of the twelve centuries old Tibetan Buddhist prophecy as told to her by her teacher of shambala, the mystical land of peace and harmony which rises when the world is in danger of annihilating itself through greed and corruption…

“There comes a time when all life on Earth is in danger. Barbarian powers have arisen. Although they waste their wealth in preparations to annihilate each other, they have much in common: weapons of unfathomable devastation and technologies that lay waste the world. It is now, when the future of all beings hangs by the frailest of threads, that the kingdom of Shambhala emerges.

Now you can’t go there because it is not a place. It exists in the hearts and minds of the Shambhala Warriors. And you can’t tell a Shambhala Warrior by looking at her and him. The time is coming said Rinpoche when great courage is required of the Shambhala warriors, moral courage and physical courage and that’s because they are going to go right into the heart of the barbarian powers to dismantle their weapons.”

ah, yes, today is perfect for bathing, purifying in the waterfalls of compassion and gathering the quintessence to adventure right into the heart of dominance consciousness to de-colonize crumbling structures and co-create an interbeing consciousness of  true peace, a story to share with baby chase and all children of the earth of why we came here… to be siddhizens of shambala – wise, courageous, compassionate peacemakers/ healers using the sacred tools to first de-colonize and purify our consciousness and then role model that in every moment for all to feel and see… blessed be!

thank you beloveds for teaching by example and showing the way along the pathless path to shambala…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 7 – Day 301 – 10/12/2020

Rising Up on Indigenous Peoples Day

as Changing Woman dons her seasonal robes shifting the colors of the landscape, do you feel the shifting consciousness moving us from celebrating a domination consciousness to an embodied, relational, holistic, sacred way of being in harmony with the web of life?

where we… respect natural laws, live in reciprocity with our earth mother, live within capacity, respect the sacredness of all our relations, of nature as a sanctuary that fills our every need, listen to the voice of the first peoples whose ear to the past and eye to the future grounds them in the present moment as a fractal of every moment…

this ecological tipping moment where their call to action to stand for our water and air and trees is ever so timely and so critical… no more polluting water, cutting down trees, digging out oil for oil is earth mother’s blood and if we dig it, creation will die…

listen now to this letter to the people written by Chief Seattle…

“The President in Washington sends word that he wishes to buy our land. But how can you buy or sell the sky, the land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air or the spark of the water, then how can you buy them? Every part of this Earth is sacred to my people; every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every meadow, every humming insect. All are holy in the memory and experience of my people. We know the sap that courses through the trees as we know the blood that courses through our veins. We are a part of the Earth, and it is part of us. The perfumed flowers are our relations. The bear, the deer, the great eagle: these are our relations. The rocky crests, the juices in the meadow, the body heat of the pony, and the human all belong to the same family.

The shining water that moves from the streams and rivers is not just water but the blood of our ancestors. If we sell you our land, you must remember that it is sacred. Each ghostly reflection in the lakes tells of memories in the life of my people. The water’s murmur is the voice of my ancestors. The rivers are our relations. They quench our thirst. They carry our canoes and feed our children. So, you must give to the rivers the kindness you would give to anyone.

If we sell you our land remember that the air is precious to us, that the air shares its spirit with all of the life it supports. The wind that gave our elders their first breaths also receives their last sigh. The wind also gives our children the spirit of life. So, if we sell you our land, you must keep it apart and sacred as a place where people can go and taste the wind that is sweetened by the meadow flowers.

Will you teach your children what we have taught our children: that the Earth is our mother? What befalls the Earth, befalls all the children of the Earth. This we know: the Earth does not belong to humankind; we belong to the Earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Humans did not weave the web of life; we are merely a strand of it. Whatever we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves. One thing we know: our God is also your God. The Earth is precious to our Creator, and to harm the Earth is to heap contempt on its creator.

Your destiny is a mystery to us. What will happen when the buffalo are all slaughtered? The wild horses tamed? What will happen when the secret corners of the forest are heavy with the scent of people and the view of the ripe hills is blotted by talking wires? Where will the thicket be? Gone. Where will the eagle be? Gone. The end of living and the beginning of survival!

When the last red people have vanished and our memory is but the shadow of a cloud moving across the prairie, will these shores and forests still be here? Will there be any of the spirit of my people left?

We love this Earth as a newborn loves its mother’s heartbeat. So, if we sell you our land, love it as we have loved it. Care for it as we have cared for it. Hold in your memory the land as it is when you receive it. Preserve the land for all children and love it as God loves us all. As we are part of the land, you too are a part of the land. As the Earth is precious to us, so is it precious to you.

One thing we know: there is only one God. No people, be they red or white, can be apart. We are siblings after all.”

may we all stand in solidarity with the wisdom and ways of an embodied, wholistic consciousness simultaneously referencing past and future informing our actions in the here and the now to live well with deep reverence and close to the ground in sacred relationship with our mothership…

thousand fold thanks to the protectors of the earth…
