Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 5 – Day 309 – 10/21/2018

Named Open Field 21 Angel of Light

“I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being.”

~Hafiz of Shiraz~

the pilgrimage today and for the last seven days, the last nine days, has been so filled with messages and blessings from the invisible realms and in such a physical way that they must be acknowledged, affirmed and appreciated… holy synchronicity! it’s the day to share an image of astonishing light and who better demonstrates this energy than the angel of light…

join me in invoking her presence…

Praise to the Angel of Light, the swift Heroine! Your eyes flash like lightening.
Born from the tear of compassion, you arise from a blooming lotus.
Praise to the Angel of Light, whose face, like the gathering of a hundred full autumn moons,
Blazes with the illuminating radiance of a thousand star nebuli.
Praise to the Angel of Light whose hand is adorned with the blue-gold lotus.
You are the embodiment of generosity, joyous effort, discipline, patience, peace, and meditation.

now, let’s join with these messengers, beings of light in the open field of resonance, of light, of love to ask for , draw down and eat their healing light which floods every cell of our being dissolving the rigid, inflexible, habitual ways of being into patterns resonant with soular consciousness…

let us now pass this gift forward sending the divine light of love through our hands… feel the light emanating from your hand and feel this energy of light attracting more and more light with every pulse you send…

may we all be siddhizens of the light living freely…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 5 – Day 307 – 10/19/2018

Named Open Field 19 Poetic PEACE Pilgrim Jeweled Profile

“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.”
― Kahlil GibranThe Prophet

did you awaken as i did in this heart space to this moment re-membering the universe in each moment is making us an irresistible offer? thousandfold thanks, Desiree, and everyone for conspiring to gift with so many moments of savoring this potent space between us of initiating the cosmic wedding and weaving the threads of  eternal presence into the lush field of the divine matrix… an infinite moment after moment, truly, of love after love…

Love After Love

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other’s welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

Named Open Field 18 Gratitude - Emoto

today, as the sun shines on the hexagram of veneration, i re-member and venerate this being born eight years and a day before my birth… being cancerian crabs, we also share a love of water, today calls me into the field of water crystals to honor his life around the anniversary of his death and seeing that date brings up an image of the occupy movement of  seven years ago inspiring my occupying the abundance of infinite love and gratitude, now known as dwelling in the abundance of infinite love and gratitude…

so many synchronicities, so many interconnections as i gaze at this water crystal called love and thanks letting Dr Emoto’s words on gratitude perfume consciousness…

though i aspire to being the embodiment of gratitude and the practice of gratitude is one of the most transformative acts, i am yet to be a shining crystal of light…

thank you, thank you, thank you, Masaru, for opening us to water’s hidden messages…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 5 – Day 305 – 10/17/2018

Named Open Field 17 Thay Poet Sees Cloud Wisdom-of-Thich-Nhat-Hanh

spending this moment, this beautiful moment of the peace pilgrimage in the beloved field of interbeing with Thay’s contemplation of  the unitive field…

Interbeing

If you are a poet, you will see clearly that there is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper. Without a cloud, there will be no rain; without rain, the trees cannot grow; and without trees, we cannot make paper. The cloud is essential for the paper to exist. If the cloud is not here, the sheet of paper cannot be here either. So we can say that the cloud and the paper inter-are. “Interbeing” is a word that is not in the dictionary yet, but if we combine the prefix “inter-” with the verb “to be,” we ha vea new verb, inter-be. Without a cloud and the sheet of paper inter-are.

If we look into this sheet of paper even more deeply, we can see the sunshine in it. If the sunshine is not there, the forest cannot grow. In fact, nothing can grow. Even we cannot grow without sunshine. And so, we know that the sunshine is also in this sheet of paper. The paper and the sunshine inter-are. And if we continue to look, we can see the logger who cut the tree and brought it to the mill to be transformed into paper. And wesee the wheat. We now the logger cannot exist without his daily bread, and therefore the wheat that became his bread is also in this sheet of paper. And the logger’s father and mother are in it too. When we look in this way, we see that without all of these things, this sheet of paper cannot exist.

Looking even more deeply, we can see we are in it too. This is not difficult to see, because when we look at a sheet of paper, the sheet of paper is part of our perception. Your mind is in here and mine is also. So we can say that everything is in here with this sheet of paper. You cannot point out one thing that is not here-time, space, the earth, the rain, the minerals in the soil, the sunshine, the cloud, the river, the heat. Everything co-exists with this sheet of paper. That is why I think the word inter-be should be in the dictionary. “To be” is to inter-be. You cannot just be by yourself alone. You have to inter-be with every other thing. This sheet of paper is, because everything else is.

Suppose we try to return one of the elements to its source. Suppose we return the sunshine to the sun. Do you think that this sheet of paper will be possible? No, without sunshine nothing can be. And if we return the logger to his mother, then we have no sheet of paper either. The fact is that this sheet of paper is made up only of “non-paper elements.” And if we return these non-paper elements to their sources, then there can be no paper at all. Without “non-paper elements,” like mind, logger, sunshine and so on, there will be no paper. As thin as this sheet of paper is, it contains everything in the universe in it.

The Heart of Understanding: Commentaries on the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra

~

“If you are mindful enough you can see the Buddha in anything, especially in the sangha. The twentieth century was the century of individualism, but we don’t want that anymore. Now we try to live as a community. We want to flow like a river, not a drop of water. The river will surely arrive at the ocean, but a drop of water may evaporate halfway. That’s why it is possible for us to recognize that the presence of the Buddha is the here and now. I think that every step, every breath, every word that is spoken or done in mindfulness—that is the manifestation of the Buddha. Don’t look for the Buddha elsewhere. It is in the art of living mindfully every moment of your life.”

~Thich Nhat Hanh~

may we feel the one in every wild cell, may we be awakened with every breath and with every step we meet fully as a friend…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 5 – Day 304 – 10/16/2018

Named Open Field 16 dark night to revelation moon new black

there seems to be something so potent in the rhythm of the autumnal web of life, in the open field of October around the ides, mid-month… each turn around the sun at this moment i feel the collective dark night so intensely and  its spilling into the personal realm… as the global dark night casts a shadow across the cosmos, i’ve been experiencing a mini dark night, profound loss in a brief moment until i act like a squirrel by gathering the quintessence and calling in Porcupine Goddess to share an ancient wisdom story illuminating the place i and we find ourselves…

long ago, in the coldest winter ever, many of our relations were dying… we of the porcupine council met and decided we’d nestle together to keep warm and stay alive… alas, we were warm but the quills of our neighbors were wounding us, so we decided to separate from each other to relieve the hurts of living in close quarters… although now we were protected from being wounded, we began to die one by one, alone and frozen cold… faced with our extinction or living as wounded porcupines, we chose wisely – deciding to return to being together… we learned to live with wounds caused by being in close relationship to receive the greater benefit of the warmth that comes from others. this way, we were able to not only survive but also to thrive; to flourish in regenerative cycles organically arising from the harmony sung by the implicate order…

may we be as wise as our porcupine relations real-eye-sing interdependence, the way of the heart, is the way…

Named Open Field 15 Navaratri durga_the_goddess_who_rides_a_lion

may it be so… may righteousness be restored… we are in the midst of navaratri, a major hindu festival celebrating nine manifestations of the goddess Durga over nine nights and ten days…

awakening early with the river of joy flowing, soon i run into some powerful whitewater and it’s good to connect with Durga in her fierce love manifestation, the form that removes darkness and negativity from our lives…

thank you Durga for helping me remain wide-open like the sky, fertile like the earth,  unshakable like a mountain, shining like a flame and lucid like a crystal in the face of  turbulent waters threatening loss of  connection…

thank you Durga for whispering to let it be, you are in flow wherever you go, surely you know there is only flow… a moment of crisis brings us to our knees, a perfect place to re-lease… all illusions of separation transmuted now into the field of unification… returning home to the watery womb of creation, resurrected now from the dark tomb of separation…

thank you dear Durga for bringing good fortune, protection and blessings into the web of life…

may we be as wise Durga who teaches and shows us that we belong to each other helping us realize interdependence, the way of the heart, is the way…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 5 – Day 302 – 10/14/2018

Named Open Field 14 St Romero Astonishing Light of Being

“I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being.”

~Hafiz of Shiraz~

today we have a stellar image for showing the astonishing light of your being… a man whose life was dedicated to helping the poor and disenfranchised, a man who could not be silenced was canonized by Pope Francis today… St Romero has long been a national hero of El Salvador… repeatedly condemning military dictatorship attacks on El Salvador’s civilian population, he was murdered by a gunman while holding mass on March 24, 1980 setting off El Salvador’s civil war (1980-1992)…

in his homily on March 23, 1980, the day before he was murdered, Romero addressed the Salvadoran military directly:

Brothers, we are part of the same people. You are killing your own brother and sister peasants and when you are faced with an order to kill given by a man, the law of God must prevail; the law that says: Thou shalt not kill. No soldier is obliged to obey an order against the law of God. No one has to obey an immoral law. And it is time that you recover your consciences. . . . In the name of God, then, and in the name of this suffering people whose laments rise up to heaven each day more tumultuously, I plead with you, I pray you, I order you, in the name of God: Stop the repression!

only a few weeks earlier, Romero had said:

I have often been threatened with death. I must tell you, as a Christian, I do not believe in death without resurrection. If I am killed, I shall arise in the Salvadoran people. I say so without boasting, with the greatest humility. . . A bishop will die, but God’s church, which is the people, will never perish.

in addition to arising in the Salvadoran people, St Romero, you shine as a beacon of light for all our relatives eternally…

Named Open Field 13 Poetic Peace Pilgrim at Waterfall

today’s pilgrimage is one when i thought i knew which open field i’d be sauntering in until i found myself in the openhearted field of compassion chanting for 24 hours nonstop one of the most powerful mantras of the Buddha of Compassion… Om Mani Padme Hum flows continually through every wild cell holding me in such courageous space, so tender, so strong, so complete, so energizing for facing whatever is, so joyful…

it sparks re-membering Joanna Macy’s recounting of the twelve centuries old Tibetan Buddhist prophecy as told to her by her teacher…

“There comes a time when all life on Earth is in danger. Barbarian powers have arisen. Although they waste their wealth in preparations to annihilate each other, they have much in common: weapons of unfathomable devastation and technologies that lay waste the world. It is now, when the future of all beings hangs by the frailest of threads, that the kingdom of Shambhala emerges.

Now you can’t go there because it is not a place. It exists in the hearts and minds of the Shambhala Warriors. And you can’t tell a Shambhala Warrior by looking at her and him. The time is coming said Rinpoche when great courage is required of the Shambhala warriors, moral courage and physical courage and that’s because they are going to go right into the heart of the barbarian powers to dismantle their weapons.”

ah, yes, today is perfect for bathing, purifying in the watery field of compassion and gathering the quintessence to adventure right into the heart of dominance consciousness to de-colonize crumbling structures and co-create an interbeing consciousness of  true peace…

Named Open Field 12 Water Standing Rock Celebration Pause

Rising Up on Indigenous Peoples Day

(oops, i thought this day is celebrated on the 12th, now i realeyes it’s the 2nd Monday but we have to visit this field this week and every day of the week)

as Changing Woman dons her seasonal robes shifting the colors of the landscape, do you feel the shifting consciousness moving us from celebrating a domination consciousness to an embodied, relational, holistic, sacred way of being in harmony with the web of life?

where we… respect natural laws, live in reciprocity with our earth mother, live within capacity, respect the sacredness of all our relations, of nature as a sanctuary that fills our every need, listen to the voice of the first peoples whose ear to the past and eye to the future grounds them in the present moment as a fractal of every moment…

this ecological tipping moment where their call to action to stand for our water and air and trees is ever so timely and so critical… no more polluting water, cutting down trees, digging out oil for oil is earth mother’s blood and if we dig it, creation will die…

may we all stand in solidarity with the wisdom and ways of an embodied, wholistic consciousness simultaneously referencing past and future informing our actions in the here and the now to live well with deep reverence and close to the ground in sacred relationship with our mothership…

thousand fold thanks to the protectors of the earth…

“We all share the blood of the first mother – we are truly children of one blood.”
