timelessness floating

drawing down darkening moon

moving to silence

~

today is the day of release, to let go of everything… knowing, certainty, identity, order, control and enter the realm of timelessness… the moment to simply be… in the stillness of the darkening moon, the stillpoint, in the gap between notes, in the void… alone/all one… sacredly, secretly, silently, softly, surrenderedly, synchronisticly balancing the tension of the opposites in this state of suspension… simply being breathed in, simply being breathed out…. breathe in, breathe out healing, holiness, wholeness… rebirth into the pure land of our one cosmic heart… always being love, always becoming love… always one with great mystery…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 63 – 2/17/2017

Named Freely Flowing February 17 2017 Caravan of Re-Joy-Sing Green Bough Singing Bird.

many moons ago, i posted this quotation which shares the heart of a way of being as we saunter along the poetic peace pilgrimage by way of the caravan of re-joy-sing,,,  a friend and talented artista had the perfect setting for it and today it is the perfect image as the caravan travels to the sacred space where an inner hurricane blew through the soulscape…

we’ve all been through these moments we would not wish on anyone, pain and suffering are as much a part of the fabic of our lives as ease and ecstasy… i’ve been through enough of these critical junctures to have learned a thing or two about getting through gracefully…

so, today, the caravan of re-joy-sing settles into this space of devastation to be with this gift wrapped seemingly so unattractively… as we sit with it and begin to unwrap it, we notice light is beginning to shine through… yes, as we release the pain and  deadness, hope springs alive for the re-weaving of the web of creation….

Hurricane

It didn’t behave
like anything you had
ever imagined. The wind
tore at the trees, the rain
fell for days slant and hard.
The back of the hand
to everything. I watched
the trees bow and their leaves fall
and crawl back into the earth.
As though, that was that.
This was one hurricane
I lived through, the other one
was of a different sort, and
lasted longer. Then
I felt my own leaves giving up and
falling. The back of the hand to
everything
. But listen now to what happened
to the actual trees;
toward the end of that summer they
pushed new leaves from their stubbed limbs.
It was the wrong season, yes,
but they couldn’t stop. They
looked like telephone poles and didn’t
care. And after the leaves came
blossoms. For some things
there are no wrong seasons.
Which is what I dream of for me.

heavy rains flood the land

a sad ebb tide rolls in dashing hope

new dreams will rise tomorrow

how i need to re-member the words of rumi today, on this day beginning so early and in such a flow tide of synchrony… hours later, a sea change rolls in… knowing and unknowing, i fall into a deep sleep awakening hours later to inner heavy rains whispering of loss and calling me to the caravan of re-joy-sing, the co-heart of sand painters who live like water painting the day with colored sands to be blown into the spirit realms, the ocean of devotion at day’s end seeding new dreams…

Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

– Rainer Maria Rilke –

Letters To A Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke is an extraordinary book of ten letters written to a young man of nineteen years about to enter the German military named Franz Kappus who wrote Rilke looking for guidance and a critique of some of his poems. Rilke was himself only 27 when the first letter was written. The resulting five year correspondence is a virtual owner’s manual on what it is to be an artist and a person. Since we are all poets, pilgrims on a journey, it seems poetic justice to share the wisdom here and now for us to apply to the metaphor of our own lives…

You ask whether your verses are any good… You have asked others before this. You send them to magazines. You compare them with other poems, and you are upset when certain editors reject your work. Now (since you have said you want my advice) I beg you to stop doing that sort of thing. You are looking outside, and that is what you should most avoid right now. No one can advise or help you – no one. There is only one thing you should do. Go into yourself. Find out the reason that commands you to write; see whether it has spread its roots into the very depths of your heart; confess to yourself whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write. This most of all: ask yourself in the most silent hour of your night: must I write? Dig into yourself for a deep answer. And if this answer rings out in assent, if you meet this solemn question with a strong, simple “I must”, then build your life in accordance with this necessity; your whole life, even into its humblest and most indifferent hour, must become a sign and witness to this impulse. Then come close to Nature. Then, as if no one had ever tried before, try to say what you see and feel and love and lose.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

today and everyday, our pilgrimage is a journey of love blessed by St Valentine, Patron  of Pilgrims, where…

every breath is a naming prayer

every step a walking meditation

bringing us home to our one cosmic heart, an ocean of devotion

~

dreams often inspire a flow of contemplation which inspire words and deeds… i’m in a classroom sharing with the openhearted children of the earth, sharing a heart mudra to the tune of “this little light of mine…” where you join your thumbs together for the base of the heart temple and your index fingers together for the spire which you place on your third eye to open the flow of divine light to shine through the heart as lovingkindness and compassion and then you move your hands, the heart temple of light, down to the belly, the center of being, the stillpoint, the watery womb of creation and with this movement, this simple action, our inner light, the eternal flame flows soundlessly throughout the all that is in ever widening waves, one with the tides of interbeing, the sheltering arms of the tree of life…

~

as we meet this moment fully, we are lovingkindness and compassion, joy dancing in swirling and whirling circles of peace passing all understanding, one with divine flow…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 59 – 2/13/2017

Named Freely Flowing February 13 2017 Love Statement

another day on the pilgrimage of love, a day with a simple way to be… as easy as breathing one two three… breathing in love, breathing out love, breathing in love, breathing out love, breathing in love, breathing out love… seeding/re-seeding, cycling/re-cycling the unitive field, ocean of consciousness, sea of love energy, cosmic oneness with the only energy there is – particles of radiant love forming one vast wave of light, the first emanation to pour forth from the great silence and travel, as do we, as a rolling wave of loving light energy… sometimes as a whirling dervish transforming everything in the path, other times as a stationary lighthouse commanding stillness, always a wave of light flowing love through the cosmos, always a wave of love flowing light through the cosmos, seeding/re-seeding, cycling/re-cycling particles of love into the one radiant wave of light…

so, let’s…

dance, dance, wherever we may be

we are the soul of the dance said she

and we’ll celebrate wherever we may be

as we joyfully dance great mystery

“better to light a candle than curse the darkness”

for our weekly segment around showing you the astonishing light of being, i offer this picture of and blessing from the sacred spirit of rainbow mystery, sister of the cosmic hum in all her iridescence to remind us when we are in the dark, we can always come home to the inner light by breathing in through the heart… and while we’re on the subject of  the astonishing light of rainbows…

How the Rainbow Works

Mostly we occupy ocular zones, clinging
only to what we think we can see.
We can’t see wind or waves of thought,
electrical fields or atoms dancing;
only what they do or make us believe.

Look on all of life as color –
vibratile movement, heart-centered,
from invisibility to the merely visible.
Never mind what happens when one of us dies.
Where were you before you even get born?
Where am I and all the unseeable souls
we love at this moment, or loathed
before birth?  Where are we right now?

Everything that ever happened either
never did or always will with variations.
Let’s put it another way: Nothing ever
happened that wasn’t dreamed, that wasn’t
sketched from the start with artful surprises.
Think of the dreamer as God, a painter,
a ham, to be sure, but a divine old master
whose medium is light and who sidesteps
tedium by leaving room both inside and outside
this picture for subjects and scenery to wing it.

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 57 – 2/11/2017

Named Freely Flowing February 11 2017 Einstein Compassion Task

our task is to widen the circle of compassion embracing all that is in its beauty…

Let us radiate lovingkindness in this moment…

Begin with yourself. Calm the mind/heart and find the center of your being. Generate warm, gentle, loving feelings for yourself:

May I be safe from harm.

May I be happy just as I am.

May I be peaceful with whatever is happening.

May I be healthy and strong.

May I care for myself in this ever-changing world graciously, joyously.

From yourself, move out spaciously into your immediate surroundings. Include every living being within this circle:

May all beings in the air, on land, and in the water be safe, happy, healthy, and free from suffering.

Stay within your reach. As you feel your immediate surround fill with the power of loving kindness, move on, expanding the surround in concentric circles until you envelop the entire planet.

Expand your loving kindness until you are able to visualize Earth, spinning within the vast, mysterious universe. If you like, continue expanding the sense of your loving kindness, filling the endless emptiness of the universe.

May all living beings everywhere, on all planes of existence, known and unknown, be happy, be peaceful, be free from suffering.

thank you for widening the circle of compassion and embracing all…

today, i travel  the path with heart cruising down the rainbow trail as dreamweaver, the one who enters the gateway into infinity, the path with heart, the path of rainbow mystery…

~

Anything is one of a million paths. Therefore you must always keep in mind that a path is only a path; if you feel you should not follow it, you must not stay with it under any conditions. To have such clarity you must lead a disciplined life. Only then will you know that any path is only a path and there is no affront, to oneself or to others, in dropping it if that is what your heart tells you to do. But your decision to keep on the path or to leave it must be free of fear or ambition. I warn you. Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary.
This question is one that only a very old man asks. Does this path have a heart? All paths are the same: they lead nowhere. They are paths going through the bush, or into the bush. In my own life I could say I have traversed long long paths, but I am not anywhere. Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn’t, it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn’t. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you,  a path with heart is easy; it does not make you work at liking it..

~ Don Juan ~

may we all travel the path with heart – looking, looking breathlessly… seeing, being luminous rainbow energy…
