Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 328 – 11/9/2015

Named Namaste November 9 Smith Rock 11-8-15

as we wend our way home along the route of grace, we are transported to sacred space, high desert earthscape flowing in waves as we travel through Sisters where we follow a rainbow trail, truly, a rainbow trail to Redmond and onto Terrebonne, truly, good earth to breathe in one of the seven wonders of this stunningly beautiful state…

this picture only hints at the beauty and the power of this natural cathedral inspired by volcanic explosions and carved by flowing waters… your breath is taken away while standing on holy ground in the shadow of these towering cliffs…. breathing in the silence of the stone people, i am listening in a deeper way to our ancestors as i bow to their eternal witness and love…

in this moment, this beautiful moment, i have arrived, i am home…  namaste…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 327 – 11/8/2015

Named Namaste November 8 Metolius River 11-7 and 11-8-15 051

this weekend i was treated to a re-treat weekend on the metolius river by and with my beautiful daughter… divinely orchestrated, we traveled down valley on route 22, the number of grace, through clouds pouring forth waterfalls of life until we began ascending the cascades… we traveled as if we were going to a come as you are party with only the clothes on our back and an open attitude of organic presence in the emptiness of now…

we reach the headwaters of the metolius at wizard falls in the early afternoon and it’s amazing to see this river flowing from a hill and to join in the rhythm of the rushing waters lulled by the lapping of the current to coming home to this moment, this beautiful moment…

crossing the threshold of our cabin in the woods on the banks of the metolius and entering our home sweet home, we are met with messages to enjoy this moment and simplify… what a pleasure and joy to swim in this stream in this moment, in every moment, always arriving home…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 325 – 11/6/2015

Named Namaste November 6 Poetic PEACE Pilgrim 1+

today, i follow a circuitous route as i witness grandmother dancing deeper into a new world and way of being… a poem comes to me and it also came circuitously… it was written as a ritual celebrating cosmos creation… sounding and re-sounding the words, i feel i am breathing in life and breathing out life in a seamless circle… birth to death to birth to death as one organic whole… join me in bowing to and flowing in beauty…

Ancestor Prayer

When you were born,
The earth became your body,
The stone became your bone,
The sea became your blood,
The sun became your eye,
The moon became your mind,
The wind became your breath.
When you passed to the Otherworld,
Your breath became the wind,
Your mind became the moon,
Your eye became the sun,
Your blood became the sea,
Your bone became the stone,
Your body became the earth.
When we were born, you did the same for us:
You called forth the earth and rocks;
The sea arose and the sun descended;
The moon shone down and the winds sang.
For those who come after, we shall do as you did for us
When we are gone, we shall do as you did before.
Ancestors, we honour you.

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 324 – 11/5/2015

Named Namaste November 5 NA Beauty

with every step today, with every breath, i bow to the beauty of grandmother who stands with grace in the center of the wheel holding the space of silence in a sacred way… in this place, she sees more than she can say and understands more than she sees… as she rests in stillness, she listens to the wind and knows in her heart, in our one heart, that we are hear to offer loving service to all our relations for we are one, one breath, one body, one being, one becoming…

bless you grandmother, thousandfold thanks, your song of re-joy-sing uplifts and deepens our journey of healing into wholeness…

may we learn your wisdom song and flow in beauty as do you in tune with Great Mystery’s natural rhythms and cycles…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 321 – 11/2/2015

Named Namaste November 2 Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage Salish Sea

i tendered an idea for today’s pilgrimage and then something else was delivered, a namaste to the earth…

In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other:
“Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”
