Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 346 – 11/27/2015

Named Namaste November 27 Thanks for day of Infinite

today, is a saunter into the field beyond

drawing down full moon’s energy of release

a day to sit still in the center of the see saw of life

to balance the grief of broken dreams with re-joy-sing

for, in that space between what we’ll see and what we saw

is this moment of what isness, this moment of being everything…

dancing dolphin, welcoming tree, singing whale, smiling sunflower, humming bird

thank you for the courage to journey on a wave of wild abandon recklessly, deeply

arriving on a further shore in a field of spaciousness, once unknown, now, is home

bowing to you in devotion, seeing we are each other’s reflection, many drops of one ocean…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 345 – 11/26/2015

Named Namaste November 26 thanks be festisite-spiral (5)

i love celebrating every breath with thanksgiving,,, breathing in… be thanks… breathing out… thanks be… a seamless circle of giving thanks i’ve been dwelling in for almost 4 years while occupying the abundance of infinite love and gratitude… today is an important anniversary date for me of a pivotal event that happened 38 years ago so this wedding vibrates at the master number of 11, a magical number for a magical day with so many magical relations, as in all my relations, gracing this moment, this magical moment of devotion to a path with heart, a path of compassion, a path of practicing being ever more for (pro) giving… yes, in this moment, i open myself to being more and more for giving, first to myself and rippling out gifting with every breath to all that is, we co-create the most beautiful wave of rainbow light encircling the cosmos, an unbroken circle of peace and harmony, wedding the many into the one…

may we all smile with one another as we breathe thanksgiving deeply through our one heart embracing and reverencing all that is and be organically present, emptiness now (open) in this moment, this magical moment…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 344 – 11/25/2015

Named Namaste November 25 Moon Full Pilgrimage

walking through shadowlands today under the light of this last full moon before solstice and the new turning of the sun… a day of walking from the garden down a path through the woods with a spirit, once so familiar, who delivers me to a wilder place, a sacred space of the divine feminine where a new and unfamiliar beloved community dances stripped down to bare essence under this moon of letting go… in this wilderness, i see a place of gathering to feel one’s center, to birth, not another, to birth oneself, to baptise oneself in the tears of the waters of life, to arise anew into a peace passing all understanding…

under this moon of mourning, we release what no longer serves to dwell in a wide, open spaciousness where we honor the divine feminine who inspires us to be the deep peace of the running wave, the flowing river, the dancing ocean and to build beloved community…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 343 – 11/24/2015

Named Namaste November 24 Peacemakers of Earth Mother+a thousand years ago, the Great Peacemaker came across the Great Lake Onondaga, now known as Ontario, in a stone canoe to the warring six-nation confederacy of the Haudenosaunee, also known as the Iroquois… gradually his words and actions won the people over, they accepted the Great Law of Peace and they buried their weapons under the Peace Tree by Lake Onondaga and formed councils for making wise choices together… in the Haudenosaunee, historians recognize the oldest known participatory democracy, one that inspired the founders in crafting the Constitution of the United States. …

let us be in this moment peacemakers of the earth mother following the teachings of the Great Peacemaker just as still do the Onondaga Nation, whose name means Keepers of the Central Fire, always beginning with prayers of thanksgiving…

THE PEOPLE

Today we have gathered and we see that the cycles of life continue. We have been given the duty to live in balance and harmony with each other and all living things. So now, we give greetings and thanks to each other as people.

Now our minds are one.

THE EARTH MOTHER

We are all thankful to our mother, the Earth, for she gives us all that we need for life. She supports our feet as we walk about upon her. It gives us joy that she continues to care for us as she has from the beginning of time. To our mother, we send greetings and thanks.

Now our minds are one.

THE ENLIGHTENED TEACHERS

We gather our minds to greet and thank the enlightened teachers who have come to help throughout the ages. When we forget how to live in harmony, they remind us of the way we were instructed to live as people. We send greetings and thanks to these caring teachers.

Now our minds are one.

THE CREATOR

Now we turn our thoughts to the creator, or great spirit, and send greetings and thanks for all the gifts of creation. Everything we need to live a good life is here on this Mother Earth. For all the love that is still around us, we gather our minds together as one and send our choicest words of greetings and thanks to the creator.

Now our minds are one.

CLOSING WORDS

We have now arrived at the place where we end our words. of all the things we have named, it was not our intention to leave anything out. If something was forgotten, we leave it to each individual to send such greetings and thanks in their own way.

Now our minds are one.

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 341 – 11/221/2015

Named Namaste November 22 PEACE JFK

the calendars say it was fifty-two years ago today, this young, bold leader was struck down but on this day i’m transported into my 12 year old self sitting in my 7th grade classroom in a sleepy, backwater town… the world took a dramatic turn when the principal appeared at the door of our classroom with a newsflash: the president has been shot and is dead… i re-member my outrage as if those words were just pronounced and how i could not believe how cavalierly he uttered them and with a smile… we were shooed out to recess where all of my classmates circled around me knowing JFK was like a member of our family… three years earlier, I had traipsed around the state with my father to his speeches and to his senate office in DC and i can still feel my heart almost beating out of my chest every time i’d get to greet him and shake his hand… and then the inauguration and his address that stirred a nation and now, 1000 days later, we’d be heading back to DC for the state funeral…

today, i’m a 9 year old living in Camelot on the brink of a new world and a 12 year old taking comfort in hearing strains of We Shall Overcome rising from the somber and dignified crowds of people gathered to say goodby to our fallen leader…

i salute all poetic peace pilgrims with JFK’s invocation of peace…    namaste…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 340 – 11/21/2015

Named Namaste November 21 PEACEmaker

today, moment by moment, breath by breath, i open more fully to being an instrument of PEACE, hollow reed playing the notes in harmony, vessel of grace singing an ode to joy in communion with saints, a heavenly host of divine earthly beings sharing the gifts of presence…

The Peace Prayer

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Prayer For Peace

Oh Great Spirit who dwells in the sky,
lead us to the path of peace and understanding,
let all of us live together as brothers and sisters.
Our lives are so short here, walking upon Mother Earth’s surface,
let our eyes be opened to all the blessings you have given us.
Please hear our prayers, Oh Great Spirit.

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 339 – 11/20/2015

Named Namaste November 20 PEACE is Present

today, i inspire (breathe in) and am inspired with every breath the peace that is always present… i wanted to go on a special outer pilgrimage today; equally, i wanted to stay still on a inner pilgrimage to soothe a RA flaring… The call of spending time with one of my favorite peer groups, 3rd graders, whispered more magnetically…. all was going well with a happy homecoming and then i exited the principal’s office and fell flat on my face laid low by an obstacle on the path that i didn’t see… the first voice and face i saw and heard belonged to a sweet asian child who wanted to know if i was all right and if i needed help to aright myself which prompted my automatic chant of thank you with every breath to a different twist to match the physical body response to twisting thank you to thanks be to breathing in be and breathing out thanks… breathing be thanks, be thanks, be thanks be, thanks be, thanks be… breathing in, smile be thanks; breathing out, smile thanks be…

may we all arrive in peace…. may we all be home in peace…. bowing to the peace of our one heart… namaste…
