mirroring nature

standing still like the sun

silently dreaming

~

i love this moment when all of nature surrenders and as we welcome winter, we bid farewell to darkness and stand still in the moment receiving the light and the bonus of the new moon in Capricorn following in the wake of soulstice by a few hours… perfect moment of tending the seeds as we draw down the moon into the watery womb… perfect moment of sitting in the inner light, the sol, the soul…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 3 – 12/19/2014

Named Divine 19 NA Sacred Space Trust

13 moons ago, this prayer dreamed me… i was driving over a bridge with my mother when suddenly a tsunami appeared… now, i am swimming in dark water knowing i must find my mother who is not a strong swimmer… after what seemed an eternity, i surrendered realizing all i could do was go with the flow… instantaneously i was transported to paradise and then to our beach cottage where i found my daughter… i knew i had to call my siblings but it was the last thing i wanted to do…

as i waited for them to answer my call, i felt movement behind me and turned around to see my mother standing there in my nightgown with my hair and smile – best miracle ever! during this wholly season, sometimes it feels like a tidal wave of abundance… i re-member the dream and surrender to this sea of love energy we are… i breathe into the stillness of this sacred space as peace flows through in the rhythm of the waves…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 2 – Day 2 – 12/18/2014

Named Divine 18 dance+++

day before yesterday was powerful – 365 days on the path of devotion, the poetic peace pilgrimage… yesterday as well was remarkable – 3 years dwelling in the abundance of infinite love and gratitude and so many more of celebrating 1st Flight and then there was a little surgery to remove the veil from my eye – i smile with the universe removing the clouds enabling heart soaring flight…

today, i tune into cosmic turtle hum going with the flow which moves me more deeply into the tiny space where i live and savoring this space and this moment of being the stillpoint, of standing in the center, of dancing the sacred spiral journey, of being home wherever i may be and celebrating with another dance that transports us all to a magical realm where we re-member we are children of the light…

and so as i drift into dreamtime, thousandfold thanks dance through me along with the sugar plum fairies…

How could the soul not take flight
When from the glorious Presence
A soft call flows sweet as honey,
And whispers, “Rise up now, come away.”
How could the fish not jump
Immediately from dry land into water,
When the sound of water from the ocean
Of fresh waves springs to his ear?
How could the hawk not fly away,
Back, back, to the wrist of the kind
As soon as he hears the drum
The king’s baton hits again and again,
Drumming out the signal of return?
How could the Sufi not start to dance,
Turning on himself, like the atom in the sun of eternity,
So he can leap free of this dying world?
Fly away, fly away, bird, to your native home.
You have leaped free of the cage,
Your wings are flung back in the wind of God.
Leave behind the stagnant and marshy waters,
Hurry, hurry, hurry, O bird, to the source of life!

The Journey

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice–
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
“Mend my life!”
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do–
determined to save
the only life you could save.
